Well, the lady I learned that from was a great learner - in her 80s!

She bought the encyclopedia the supermarket was selling. A volume a week.

One day, I found the latest volume on her table.

It had a bookmark in it. Smartest person I ever knew - and I've known a lot of scholars.

Alas! "our" generation DID learn from our ancesters
But! Nowadays Nothing good is relivity passed on to offspring

Ie: My upbringing etc I used to bring my 2 kids up(tried and true methoids etc)
nuff said!

I don't know if I agree with that... An awful lot of my contemporaries sigh and say, 'I wish I'd talk to grandpa/grandma/Aunt Martha more. What stories they could have told!'

Me, I pestered them for the stories.

We had to take our little to the vet this afternoon - she needed her ears looked at. I had a nice conversation with a lady who was even older than we are. She's staying in Punxsy but she lives in Philly, and her little Pomeranian needed an operation. Doing fine now.
