I think it's more to do with the fact that it's a short week in between Xmas and new year, rather than the weather
But I've been known to be wrong before
Just heading home myself. Hope you're well, LiS

Well, there was a lot of stores and banks and stuff that was shut due to bad weather conditions yesterday, since we had about 10 inches of snow in about 24 hours from wednesday til yesterday.
Made me a bit p****d off since I had some bank errands to take care of after work, and when I got there they had closed early because of snow. Ah well.. That's what you get when you're raised in a country where anything less than -15 C, 20 inches of snow and gale force winds are just another nice snow fall... Not that there's been much snow in Sweden the past 7 or 8 years either, but still. I remember the good ld days, in my childhood, when the only time they closed the school was when it was -30 degrees and heavy snow fall for three days straight. Now that was bad weather.

It's over and we've survived it once again (we did survive, didn't we?).
The end of another year, the beginning of a new.
Some say that it was the end of an old millennium, and the start of a new one. I tend to agree.
I didn't really get into any celebrating spirit for the new year as I was too tired from working. Somehow, I managed to find work for this holiday season as well. I think that makes it four or five in a row now.
Anyways, hope you had a great New Years weekend and that your resolutions doesn't have anything to do with cutting down on drinking as we will probably do a bit of that on saturday.

Resolutions?
Damn, I knew I'd forgotten something while I was rolling about giggling in the snow in Glasgow Green at 3am on New Years day.
Ah well, I suppose this means I'll just have to drink on Saturday.

My new years resolution this year is that I will never, ever again make another new years resolution.
I think I made that resolution last year as well. Damn, I broke my resolution from lasst year. Oh well, I'll try to uphold this year's resolution instead.

Babel17 Posted Jan 3, 2001
Hah! I got an all time record for breaking resolutions this year. 3 minutes!

SPINY (aka Ship's Cook) Posted Jan 3, 2001
Happy New Year, gang!
Hope you all misbehaved enormously. I made a New Year's resolution to drink less, but as I didn't say less of what, that gives me a fair amount of flexibility...
Anyway, I'll just have to break it on Saturday, so I don't know why I bothered.
Later, dudes.

3 minutes, B-17? What was that resolution, then?
Welcome back, Lyns. Ill be looking forward to seeing you this weekend.
I have to say that I didn't misbehave very much this past weekend. I actually volunteered to work both Saturday and Sunday, so I had no time, nor energy, to misbehave. That has to be remedied, don't you all think?

Happy New Year all. I expect a full range of Digging-myself-out-of-snow-stories on Saturday, it certainly was festive. Anyhoo, must go again, I feel some Kelvingrove research coming on

Hey there, see everyone in the Counting House on saturday (why do we always end up drinking in defunkt banks? - I find it vaguely troubling). This is the first time I've made it to a PC for ages. I am now officailly unemployed but, not to worry, I fully intend to find myself a fabulous new job in the near future - it pays to be positive
By the way - anyone know where the most central internet cafe is in Glasgow?

Happy New Year UC
There is an easyEverything just round the corner on St. Vincent St.
How are you planning on getting through on Saturday?
Hei Scumbag!
DD and FC Posted Jan 5, 2001
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Phew. Well, after getting through that little pile of waffle we'd just like to say that we'll see you all saturday! That is if we survive tomorrow nights entertainment!
See you all soon!
Hei Scumbag!
Lost in Scotland Posted Jan 5, 2001
Final check-in before tomorrow.
I'll probably be lurking around Glasgow from some time during the morning tomorrow, and I will be at the Counting House at about 1-ish (if I don't get there before that).
See you all tomorrow.
