DD and FC's collaborative space
Seeing as of the 14 October 2000 the two of us started to become the one of us we've decided to set up our own little space on h2g2 so we can do things together. Maybe even write articles about things we have seen together.
OK so who are we
To clarify we are Demon Drawer and Fashion Cat from elsewhere on the guide. See below for our significant dates.
Significant Dates
- 14 June 2000 - Fashion Cat joins h2g2.
- 14 June 2000 - Demon Drawer ACEs FC after meeting her in the forum and Firkin
- 22 June 2000 - FC moots the idea of a Mini-Scottish meet up to Babel-17
- June/July 2000 - Invites go out including one to DD who's nearly Scottish anyway
- 5 August 2000 - Scottish meet up. DD and FC meet for the first time under Scott Monument1 (she had previously called to check on his whereabouts and the group decided to wait for his arrival)
- August 2000 - DD and FC start texting and e-mailing each other. A LOT!!!
- 1 September 2000 - FC gets on a plane bound for California
- 4 September 2000 - DD realises how quiet it has all become and starts to realise he loves FC
- 14 September 2000 - FC returns and texts DD that she has broken her leg whilst in California.
- 14 September 2000 - DD phones to get details off FC
- 19 September 2000 - At 10 seconds past midnight FC calls DD with a birthday greeting 90 minutes later she hangs up
- 27 September 2000 - DD arrives for a stay in London. That evening he kisses FC
- 7 October 2000 - DD has to leave from Gatwick no certainty over the future of this fledgling relationship.
- 7 October 2000 - The Phone communcation continues
- 14 October 2000 - DD asks FC to marry him
- 14 October 2000 - Her reply. 'I love you today, I'll love you forever. It would be a great honour to wear your ring'
- 19 October 2000 - DD buys an engagement ring
- 20 October 2000 - DD places ring on FC's finger at Waverly station after saying 'I love you today, I'll love you forever. Will you do me the honour of wearing this ring'
- 20 October 2000 - First thing DD and FC do with the ring is climb the Scott monument2
- 3 November 2000 - FC flies to Northern Ireland to see DD and his parents and now everyone knows we're engaged
- 25 November 2000 - DD and FC spend most, but not all, of the h2g2 Christmas meet up attached by the lips.
- 31 December 2000 11:59:59 - DD and FC are stewarding at the fire festival in Stonehaven in the rain and blow kisses to each other at midnight.
- 14 February 2001 - First Valentines day together is postponed as this is the first day of FC's exams.
- 16 February 2001 - DD flies in to London Heathrow and goes to meet FC after her last exam. And her University mates.
- 17 February 2001 - DD and FC celebrate Valentine's Day properly and head off to Paris.
- 7 April 2001 - DD packs his car and heads over to Scotland to live.
- 15 December 2001 - The date intended for the wedding
- 15 December - 22 December 2001 - DD and FC enjoy a holiday in the Lake District even if not the Honeymoon.
- 24 December 2001 - DD and FC hear that they are an Uncle and Auntie in waiting when DD's sister-in-law gives birth to Joseph.
- 1 May 2002 - FC starts her first job after Uni. Problem: Location is Berlin.
- 26 August 2002 - DD intends to visit Berlin for second time in his life but first time with fiancee.
