Oh, you don't look as normal as that, EV.
Caroline! I can't believe you use 'bwffrrignutmuggleclip' as an excuse as well! Isn't that spookily wierd?
Thanks everyone!
Babel17 Posted Jan 9, 2001
*waves to Caroline, glad she is still in the land of the living*
Blue eyes for me
As for soon, how does the 24th Feb grab you?
(as well as anything else Lyns has planned for us, naturally)
Thanks everyone!
THEREALSCOTTADAMS Posted Jan 9, 2001
Who are those erm.. people on wumbeevil's page.
Thanks everyone!
Babel17 Posted Jan 9, 2001
*staggers in amazement*
You...you mean....you don't remember us?
*has to sit down suddenly*
Thanks everyone!
Wumbeevil Posted Jan 9, 2001
UC, are you sure that you didn't get a lift to Stirling in the taxi I fell asleep in? I woke up and the meter was at £9 something. If I want a sleeping tour of the city I usually take the bus.
What? People on my page? Gatecrashers? Well I just hope they can make their minds up about what they don't want to drink this time.
Pink with purple polka dots for me Spiny, oh and lime green for the left eye.
Thanks everyone!
Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted Jan 9, 2001
I remember! I remember something else to be added to the log as well:
13:50 Local Big Issue seller gatecrashes table and demands to be filmed doing his great Big Issue poem, then demands money from us for the privilege.
Thanks everyone!
Lost in Scotland Posted Jan 10, 2001
I think Lyns got a copy of BIg Issue from that guy. But that was basically it.
Spiny, nothing you can do in Photoshop can make me look beautiful, so you can just leave me as I am.
Thanks everyone!
Lyns Posted Jan 10, 2001
yep - I can confirm that I did indeed get a copy of the Big Issue (which actually came in handy for the train home) It had an interview with Martine McCutcheon (if anyone's interested). By the way - Wumbeevil was suggesting that we all recommend two or three of our fave pubs in Glasgow and write a few lines about them. Then we'll have a ready-made h2g2 guide! Sounds like a plan.
Oh and did anyone see the moon last night - v cool.
Thanks everyone!
Lost in Scotland Posted Jan 10, 2001
I just caught a quick glimpse of the moon last night as I walked out to the car to get an extension lead for my tv. At that time, it wasn't that spectacular any more.
Thanks everyone!
Munchkin Posted Jan 10, 2001
I missed the moon last night as I was finally unpacking all my stuff and generally being surprised by what I found.
I finally uploaded my photos by hand (woohoo) only to find that the software I was using, which explicitly offers an HTML gallery thingy, is a pile of Fetted Dingo's Kidneys and has delimted all the file structure as \ instead of / !!! So, I will be having a fun few hours changing it all around, grr. AND I have to do some work! Some places are so unreasonable
Thanks everyone!
Jamie Posted Jan 10, 2001
Definite anticlimax for me, anyway. A couple of friends an I went up to the Glasgow Uni tower to moonwatch. Saw it disappearing (which was quite nifty), then stood for half an hour watching. Saw about half a minute or so in a break in the clouds. Decided to go back to the pub.
Speaking of pubs, I like the brief review idea. Now I just have to think of a few where I won't start off with "of course, it was much better seven years ago..." and wander off into hazy drivel about the good old days.
Thanks everyone!
Munchkin Posted Jan 10, 2001
Jamie! Not that ginge bloke whose spent the last two years lurking but never joining? Jings, Crivens, and Help ma Boab!
Anyhoo, crossing the Andes on frogback would have been easier but here, at last, and not really worth waiting for actually, are my photies

Next time I might leave it at home, that way I will actually talk to people
Thanks everyone!
Lyns Posted Jan 10, 2001
Munchkin - those photies are fab - how I laughed!! The single candle is very arty - especially for that late on in the evening (not remotely out of focus!) And hello Jamie - you were finally press-ganged into joining then!
Thanks everyone!
Underground Caroline Posted Jan 10, 2001
Nice photos Munchkin. It looks uncannily as if I may have imbibed some alchohol during the course of the evening. Surely not.
By the way, has anyone come accross my dignity? - I seem to have misplaced it.
Thanks everyone!
