Hi - this is my first chance to catch up. We have really been quite lucky with the weather. After Dublin we stopped at Wicklow (saw Glendalough), then Wexford, then straight to Killarney where we stayed 2 nights and a whole day exploring the Dingle peninsula. Thence via a short stop in Limerick to Galway where we spent the final days. Am now in the airport waiting for the flight home. We did even manage to get to Newgrange, but the tour times (only visitable with tour buses) were a little unfavourable. Now we've reached the airport, we realise we would have had time to do the Knowth tour, but you never know what the traffic's going to be like.

Anyway - great meet, albeit sober. Amazing how much we walked - are you sure your pedometer is calibrated right, Mala?? smiley - smiley

Thanks to Gnomon and Recumentman for showing us around and organising nice weather.

Hmm. Can't find her, although I did find one person thanking her on their page.

She's a friend of TRiG, I think.

Oooh very good! It may be cos I'm in Pliny, but I just see u numbers instead of names through that.
The post doesn't have lots of rigid guidelines, though they can blob pictures fir inclusion, given time. It would be great to have the Oscar Wilde group hug blogged- which might mean publishing next week rather than this.... Worth the wait I'd say

Bea is right. The method you've used of displaying the researcher names doesn't work in Pliny (due to a bug), so you should name them explicitly, for example:

Gnomon

That way, you can also be slightly more succinct in the names, too.

I think if you send any pictures you want included to Dmitri, he can add them to the entry.

It was Aye Bee Pirate Wench who joined us in the morning. morecoffee didn't arrive, appropriately enough, until we arrived at the coffee shop in the afternoon.

Three bits of peer review: antilope > antelope,
Christchurch > Christ Church,
and I think after Guinness! you might mean < stout > ?

I'll make those amendments at lunchtime. As for the photo - I would suggest the one that Gnomon has already uploaded. It is the one that my husband took, using Gnomon's camera, so we are all in it - as well as Oscar Wilde.

A few more tiny points:

offerend --> offered

Since you'll be adding names, I think you should refer to Mrs Zen as Mrs Zen (Ben) the first time, since you call her Ben in some places and Mrs Zen in others.

The gold we saw in the museum was "pre-Celtic gold" rather than Viking gold.

You might like to mention that the bronze throne is a tribute to Dermot Morgan, also known as "Father Ted". Or you might not.

Trig fancied the fritillaries -- fritillaries are a type of plant, so I'm not sure what you meant here.

out-wierded --> out-weirded

AyeBee was only there till lunchtime.

When I left, it was to take the Zens back to the design shop we'd had lunch in earlier, so they could have a more leisurely look at some of the lovely items.

You could add to our "out-weirding the goth" bit that it was by using the little trebuchet and seeing what worked best as catapults - sunflower seeds or the heads of gummi bears.

OK - I've made all those alterations. There was something else I was going to add, but I've forgotten what it was. We do have a photo taken on our camera which is identical to the one Gnomon has already posted, so, Gnomon, if you don't mind, we may as well use yours for the blob.

I must now also apologise to Wandrin Star who I didn't manage to see on our way back through Dublin. We spent the last day at Newgrange, which is to the North, i.e. on the same side of the city as the Airport, so we didn't need to go into Dublin centre at all that day.

Please let me know if you're happy with it and I'll contact Dmitri.

I had only heard of fritillary butterflies, which I looked up in order to get the spelling right, but I've changed it to just butterfly smileys now, to avoid confusion. I am, however, expecting to have to remove the smileys from the entry, which is why I asked about the Post writing guidelines.
