I took the superhero test, too, but
all I came up with was time travel.
Okay, okay, time travel was a crucial
part of the plot in a sci-fi book I wrote,
but I have no real talent at doing the
real thing.
I haven't figured out why you think you're
a horrible friend, Yossarian. You're apparently
as hard on yourself as Ottox is on himself.
Let's see if there's anything I can come up
with.....

I figure after three hours of crying, I ought to have gone and seeked the help of a friend, and she did a great job of comforting me, as did a fellow bar mate (both researchers, of course).
So now I drink to all that was, and all that could have been.
Cheers.

I just finished reading, 'The Great Gatsby,' and I was just wondering, since you happen to be a resident of Long Island and probably have a general sense of the history of the place, why on Earth did they ever call them eggs when they look nothing like eggs?

Hey, I have x-ray vision!
Gatsby is a great book, and the movie! Robert Redford as Gatsby.. what more could one ask for?
I've come across the YP Fan Club before but never came in.. quite a busy place. I wish I could start a successful Anne club, but I'm just fine being an ACE as it is.

I never read "The Great Gatsby", but I know something about the "Miracle Mile" and the "Gold Coast" on Long Island (I live rather far from both, surprise!). What did they call "eggs" that didn't look like eggs? ::: sips

East Egg and West Egg...
I'd give you their proper names but my copy of the book was the one that went for a swim in the Charles.
You know, Shea, I don't think I'll be able to join you in New York for the meet

Evening, Ottox!
You've just logged in as I was about to logout and finish this paper I'm writing in which I prove that the Irish Potato Famine's devastation was not due to the lack of support from the British government, but rather due to the Irish tenants that starved to death. In short, I'm proving the unprovable, and what makes things even worse, is that I don't believe a God-damn word of it.
Goodnight

Ford.. I am not a drunk (but Anne used to be), but I love you already! I had to blink twice before noticing the name..
I have neglected h2g2 yet again. I'm afraid I'm not going to make for a very good ACE.
