In fact I have a return flight, but I'll have to buy a ticket back again. Also, being in debt, it never quite feels as if I'm actually "saving up". I'm above my limit, though, so the banks aren't ornery enough to stop me from taking money out.

I might have sounded embarrassed. At first I thought I'd got the wrong number, which would have been embarrassing, but then I realised that of course more than one person lives at your house, so I was probably embarrassed about my mistake. Tom didn't know of my mistake, so I needn't have been, but never mind.

I wasn't quite sure when I'd phoned you before, but I had the feeling it was earlier than that. I was probably wrong. I will try again sometime. I think it's sloppy English to start every sentence with the word "I".
