I just lost my last effort at an introduction when I tried to edit out the spelling mistakes... never mind this one will go "warts-an-all"
I am currently enjoying my mid-life crisis in Hong Kong, where I have worked for 4 years. I can give you all the info you need about this latest addition to the Red Army's playground. I do really love the place, which makes me wonder why I am about to leave it..... well Taiwan beckons and I will try my hand at surviving in a more Chinese and less English enviroment. I suppose this means I will now have to make that effort to speak the language.....(there is no need to do so in HK at all... in fact if you do attempt it then the locals will only laugh at you and pretend they don't understand anyway... so stick to English in HK)
I am told I can expect the Taiwanese to be very freindly (but not able to speak much, if any English) this will make a pleasent change.
It is no secret in Asia that Hong Kong is where all the Parisian waiters come to learn their social skills. So do not be offended if you are treated by Hong Kong residents in what you would think is a rude manner. It is nothing personal, they are rude to everyone.
Well for an introduction this has gone on a bit too long... anyone want to know where to eat, get drunk, relax or play rugby in HK then please let me know.
