morning all
Just thought i'ed drop a line..............
Now about posting a picture or two when are we going to able to as i have a couple i'ed like to post and the other thing is about my badges, still hav'ent got the blighters, this is a slight pain to me as its my birthday today and so far i have only had some socks....... and a hand written note saying happy birthday (due to the harsh econmic climate no birthday cards available at the time) so as a old member of the HOOTOO club, something would be nice!

Good morning, and I do wish you a very happy birthday indeed! 
I am afraid we don't have tools for individual researchers to post their own pictures yet. There are plans, but currently it is a bit down the list of priorities. I do know Pastey is thinking about how to solve the problem.
About the badges... Since you have left the volunteer schemes, you have been awarded former volunteer badges. These are visible in Pliny: http://www.h2g2.com/user/U247279 Unfortunately, we were not able to create a system solution to be able to apply them in the Ripley skins. We do however plan to roll out the old skins in the Pliny engine, and I do hope they will be visible there. I'm afraid I can't say when it will be. Too many things dragging Tech (i.e. Pastey) away from coding, dealing with other issues about running the site.

Trouble is i Can't stand pliny, so i'm going to have to wait and i can't seem to see these badges in any of the skins left, yet alone pliny! so i'll just have to have a nice birthday instead, just going to bury these socks i have got for a present............ such joy

Tell me, which badges are you expecting to see? In Pliny, there is Former Photographer, and Former Guru, and Post Reporter.
Is there something I have missed, another badge you are expecting? The Post Reporter badge is still there in Ripley.

Oh! I see now that the Post reporter is missing in Brunel, but it is there in Alabaster and Goo. I can't explain that, unfortunately.

Heya Jackruss, a new Pliny is being built as we speak, and then we'll be migrating the older skins. Because of the way that the older skins work, we can't fix anything that isn't a major problem that stops people from using the site. It just takes way to long to do even simple things I'm afraid.
As Milla says though, can you let us know what badges you're expecting to see, and we can look into it more for you.

As I have said, in Pliny you have the former Guru, former Photographer and Post Reporter badges.
In Alabaster and Goo, you have the Post reporter badge, because we are not able to assign former volunteer badges.
In Brunel, a bug prevents your Post reporter badge from showing, which we apologise for.
If you wish to have the badges for active volunteering, please contact lil (auntie giggles) U551837 for Guru duties, and Tavaron U1314679 for Artist (which now covers Photographers) duties. They will advise what tasks are required, and what you need to do to earn and keep those badges.
