(Witnesses "mass debating" pun. Goes into loft to retrieve dusty chest containg "cunning linguist" gag. Thinks the better of it)
Has anyone seen my jelly babies? I had a consignment on order from the Spanish main, but they seem to have been waylaid...

I've heard that jelly-babies make excellent projectiles in certain armaments. Ya know, the ones that can be secreted in your super-secret-spy-shoe, or the omni-directional-firing umbrella. No good spook ought to be without them, you know.

I was actually thinking more of Agent 86, Maxwell Smart. (Don Adams, in an old comedy series from the late 60's)

Yes. It's very odd indeed.
I have decided to hire the world's greatest private detective to solve the mystery of the missing jelly babies.
That's if he ever finishes DALMATION II: The Bigliar Strikes Back.
Then the thief is in big big trouble, I can tell you...

I must say, I'm acting very suspicious today.
Almost like I had stolen the jelly babies myself...
NO...Couldn't be...

Ach, what do you people know of boots? Here in "real man's country", our boots need to reach our chins. For walking 35 miles to and from work, ... through gator infested swamps, ... uphill both ways, of course.

the river that the ironbridge is on, is the severn and the river trent is about 2 hours away from me..
cant you think of your own names?

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Jan 15, 2006
In fact, that river (the Trent) runs through our town, dividing it in two ...
And hey, I'm sure we had all the names first, ... Cornwall, London, Southampton, Exeter ...
Key: Complain about this post
