is that the magnetic one, or the one with ridges?
Oh,a nd Martin does make *very* nice Hot chocolate, Jordan, with optional squirt cream and marshmallows.
You'll be wanting Costa Coffee, Ottakars, the Bridges, Sunderland, by the way...

Oh, at risk of dragging this thread back to it's initial subject, L and I will be having a picnic in the park tomorrow, on account of not having the financial wherwithal to do anything romantic involving things we'd have to pay foir. I have a couple of quiches in the fridge and a tartan blanket downstairs in my bedroom, so that's a start at least.

I think that's pretty good.....

And of course, if 'L' stands for Lorraine, there's another very obvious pun....*
*Warning: Otto's puns may make the value and life expectancy of your relationship go down as well as up.

fortunatelt, that is not what L stands for, so the quiche gag list is currently standing at 1.

Oh, great. At Warwick, Xananas hot chocolate looks and tastes like muddy water. You think there's some sort of irony at work?
I prefer the ridged one. Scrabble can get pretty energetic...

Was it to do with Scrabble? Or quiche? Or Paul Simon?
lazing on a sunny afternoon
Jordan Posted Jun 11, 2004
The image of Paul Simon betting a quiche Lorraine on a euphamistic game of Scrabble is enough to chase rational thought from any mind.

Somehow, I feel that 'surreal' doesn't quite capture the 'distraction potential' of such images...

Well, save that thought and use it when you next feel the need to be distracted!
Just push her off the gorge, George.

Smash every tooth in her head, Ned.

*picks up phone*
*dials*
Hello, is that Sangster and Sons Thread Maintnenace
Ah, good. I have a problem with the threads in my jounral, they're collapsing into one huge mush of Mancunian singer-songwriters, egg-based pies, scrabble and ways to leave your lover.
What?
*to everybody* The builder recomends "leave her for him, Jim"
Ah, you will, OK.
*puts phone down*
He should be around to strengthen the structure- he thinks it sounds like the connecting walls between the threads are unstable.
Rather like the people in them...

I'm not unstable!
[Walks off in a huff.]
[Trips over shoe-laces. ]
Do you think this has something to do with that big rift in reality round back?
