Well, one of BV's cats (no, not Flossie) had kittens, they all died, then it had three more and they're currently running up and down the walls at her place. Flossie's not as delighted as you might think about having kittens around the place (she'd rather have a unicorn) and Dewey's taken to staying at a neighbour's house for two and three nights at a stretch.

Not for a while. Last time they were here Dewey saw a cat outside that he didn't like (he's got a thing about longhairs - he can't stand 'em). So there he was at the (closed) balcony door growling at this other cat, and when Flossie crept up behind him to see what was going on he suddenly got spooked and they were fighting each other and hissing and spitting and making a godawful row (and I was on the phone to BV at the time). When I tried to pull them apart Dewey bit me He drew blood. Boy, was he in trouble.
