Starting writing on-line
I have been writing off and on for a long time and did a creative writing course before Christmas. Now I want to write more frequently and become more disciplined in my approach to it. On-line writing seems fascinating but is something which I know almost nothing about although I 'twitter' and created my own blog site earlier this week.
My other 'creative' urges include singing and playing keyboard/flute for which I am taking lessons. I have read some articles about freelance writing which maybe where I am headed but I am not sure about this. I would very much like to earn money for the writing that I do (don't we all) but not at the cost of it becoming a chore. I should very much like to enhance my writing creativity and if I could do that and earn some money as well that would be brilliant.
I read the Hitchhiker Guide books many years ago and absolutely loved them. I also enjoyed the way the BBC dramatized the series but was sorry that they had to cut so much of the book to do it. I also saw the most recent film which I thought was something of a travesty. In short - I loved the books and thought that creatively they were excellent in how they turned concepts on their head and held absolutely nothing sacred.
So this is my first posting and I will see how this goes. Any suggestions (preferably supportive) would be welcome.
