If that happened, who would Ben have to smuggle in citron pepper?

Remember that wild trip you and Amy made to your hotel to retrieve the loot? Then Amy just barely made it back to Waterloo Station in time for us to catch the last train? Ah, memories.

What a kerfuffle! I had Ben's krona, you had the loot which was passed off to Amy to be delivered in Oxford, only Ben was ill and so the loot then was passed off to Z who then delivered it to Ben. And it was just cirton pepper. Imagine it it had actually been contraband! Well, that's the closest I'll probably ever come to an international caper.

First day of a new month, which means that people put heaps of stuff on my desk, in my mail and so on that 'just has to be registered in July before the books are closed'.
And on top of that, I had to register a new budget, and then I had to make a phone call to His Majesty (who is on vacation) to ask how to get the budget to portion itself out into the future months.
Having gotten the instructions over the phone, verbally (I'm not very good at taking in verbal info, I'm much better at visual info) I *think* I've done it correctly and that the process will take place tonight after the back-up.
However, it *has* to ready first thing on Monday morning, so in order to make sure that it has processed correctly, I need to check it sometime during the weekend...
Why oh why don't we own any hotel near my home? *sighs* (that would save me the 1-hour trip (one way) to the head office)

I'm sure everything is done correctly. But I agree with you about not liking to get instructions for something over the phone.
Do you get paid for your travel time when you go in for unscheduled hours?

Nope, got an extra week of vacation each year to cover any overtime and such.

Extra vacation is always welcome.
I like having a set salary in some ways. It makes planning my household budget easier. But I get tired of working so many unpaid hours.

You stay away from my total of six weeks paid vacation per year, ! I intend to spend it all myself, so there!

Well, I've done it!
Today, I w*rked like crazy trying to register everything that needed to be in the result for July, constantly checking the in box in both my own w*rk mail and that of His Majesty. At 3 pm, I closed July for the hotels and shut down the system.
And then I opened up just enough many processes that we at the Head Office's Finance Deparment could add some last-minute stuff. Despite having to read the instructions point by point, I was done with my stuff (bank accounts, V.A.T., error reports, incomplete registrations etc) in 1½ hour!
So now I'm sitting here, waiting for Mr Rents/Interests/Depreciations to finish his stuff, after which I'll shut down all the processes again and then open up the system for all users. He was very impressed that we managed to close exactly on time.
Phew - now I can draw a deep sigh of relief. The shutting-down-the-system was the part I was most worried about - do it wrong, and you'll shut yourself out of the system, after which there is no way to access the system!
Oh - I just got the go-ahead, great! That means that I can go home any minute now...

I've seen this header for weeks and not realised who'd started it. Silly old boot. Very well done! You must be so proud. All this and Oblivion too? Cor, has she two heads, I wonder?
