Impressively easy to set up, it was. A scroll wheel, which you can also click, a 'set' betton and a 'home' button. 7 different alarm signals, and 3 go-to-sleep sounds that turn off automatically when the sensor tells the clock that you've fallen asleep.
*wonders if you can fool the sensor by faking to be asleep*
I'll see if I can determine the length of my sleep cycles by taking that evening 'nap' tonight.

I was already awake because of some moron who left at 5.50 slammed the door shut and stampeeded down the stairs - I need to put some heavy cloth thing inside my front door.
And then the ventilation went on at 6.00 - and when the whole house is quiet, it makes quite a noise.

a of titantic proportions?
yes, it does sound a bit geeky, but i guess it's worthwhile if you are having problems with sleeping and/or waking up

Ever since the middle of December, I've been tired when trying to get up in the morning - each morning a zombie morning.
Doesn't seem to matter if I sleep 6 hours or 10 hours, go to bed early or late, get up early or late.
So if this clock can wake me up when I'm closest to the surface, it'll be worth the investment.

Oh bugger - evening nap postponed due to:
1. Someone watching TV with the volume set on LOUD.
2. Someone moving in, dragging heavy objects up the stairs and being generally noisy.
3. The ice cream van sounding it's silly little melody, starting off several blocks away and slowly getting closer and closer.
ARGH!
I need to either find a sound proof flat or find some very small ear plugs - I always sleep on my side, so they mustn't protrude from my ears.
Also, my ears seem to be very small on the inside, so the plugs need to be kiddie sized.

Wow, that is amazing. Our trucks generally only make the rounds from May through September, sometimes October.

All year around - considering we sometimes have had some rather cold and rainy summers, heat isn't considered a necessity for consuming ice cream!
On the recommendation of a colleague, I recently bought some Ben & Jerry's (they now seem to be available at several Swedish supermarkets): Chocolate Therapy - mmmmm.....

This morning I was woken up at 6.11 - and yes, I was very almost awake. Once I had found my glasses and put them on, I saw that the alarm time on the screen had been exchanged with a cheery 'good morning!'
Maybe I'm not such a after all - I tried downloading and installing the software yesterday but, although I can make the bridge link thingie work (i.e. my clock tries to talk to my computer) there's no program replying, and there's no directory with the name mentioned in the instructions. There's *got* to be another download link that I've missed somewhere...

*reminder to self: don't try to install things when half asleep and trying to chat on a messenger at the same time*
Yep, checked the download site, and there are two more downloads besides the two I managed last night... *slaps self*

I'm not really here Posted Feb 5, 2008
Good luck with finding that.
I've been trying to get to sleep at a time that means I'll have to wake up at the end of a 90 stretch. I seem to be better at getting up, but I still feel crap during the day. Not managed to get a day time nap though.
Probably doesn't count for me because I'm suffering with my nose problems at the moment which keep me awake, stop me sleeping properly when I am asleep and make me extra tired during the day. Think I'm due another OP, but I have an appt this week so we'll see.

for digressing, but i *must* tell witty moniker that the father of one of my coworkers used to be the boss of a supermarket in Nuuk, the capital of greenland. this supermarket had the record for selling icecream, not only in greenland - but the whole of the danish kingdom
