...played a live acoustic set via Shoutcast, casting from Reaper, to a bunch of people on another website.

That I can do that there is why I'm no longer here.

Don't know what to say, really. I'm happy with what I can do here. If I want to do other things, there are other sites which provide the possibilities. So where's the problem?

There isn't a problem. Hootoo is what it is but what it is isn't for me anymore.

Sometimes we feel the need to move on.
I've moved on within hootoo, and I'm very happy with my achievemnets. You want to move on to soemthing different. with it.

I'm sure you'll be back at some point, though. This site has a stickyness you'll probably not find elsewhere.

I don't understand. If I want news, I go to the BBC. If I want to hear that song from the 80s that I haven't heard for 20 years, I go to YouTube. If I want to transfer files, I use Boxstr. But I came here for a particular reason, and this site still fulfils that.

So I don't understand why you would leave because h2g2 doesn't do a particular job it was never intended to do. Leave because you're bored, or you hate everyone, or because you have better things to do. They're all fine reasons to leave.

No website does everything you might want it to do, and probably never will. You pick and choose from what's available. I'm glad you've found a good site for something else on Shoutcast, and I hope we'll see you back around here when you realise what you're missing

I agree with you. I have outgrown h2g2. I love the people here but feel patronised by the management. That's never a good way to feel.

I know none of the moderators by name and I feel the BBC are humouring this sites' members.

I may be a bit stupid...
