I have not mentioned c*t g*t to Yoda: she is willing to accept all types of musos, she is utterly immune to Marshall Stacks at 4am & whatever is pounding through them.

Roy, I know it's impractical, but you're welcome to come down here for a complete change of scenery...
( Yes, it's a bit drastic, but it's the thought that counts.)
Persevere with the pills. They don't fix everything, but they do help to put a floor under the psyche and give you a chance to take stock.
And never mind if the libido suffers. It'll be back in due course.

Mine too. I reckon the NHS might just fork out for a therapeutic trip to South of France (taking the long route via Aus of course!)

That's just new analyses of old data pointing out the bleedin' obvious.
Damn, Ben Goldacre's trained me up good!

I see it more as out-of-context reinterpretation of data. Science by Sir Humphrey Appleby, in fact.
Anti-Ds help some people more than others. Some people they don't help at all. Other people swear by them. I was lucky - they helped me - whether that's the placebo effect in action or a genuine pharmaceutical benefit, well, frankly I don't give a monkey's.

Loobrush for you, fellow person!
This is the first round of low moods in 15 years that I'm dealing with sans drugs. But only because this time there is a genuine reason for the blues... the other times I was just blue. As in slug speed, slow speaking, slow moving depressed, no interests, no joys left...
Keep on the antidepressants for a while. As Ivan says, it might be a placebo effect or it might be pharmaceutical, but if it works (within a month at the latest?) it works.
Hang in there, it will get better.

Whatever you do, don't just stop taking them because you feel better.
You will need to come off these very slowly

I dragged myself out of "Trough of despond" tonight to a meeting (totally in french: a challenge in itself!) to discuss Green party Policy on "Handicapped", at which we debated this subject. france has highest rate of prescriptions for anti-deps on earth.
Why? Is it that Frogs are just more depressed than most (why?) or actually have depression as default skin (why?) or docs want an easy way out 'cos maybe they are also depressed (why)
The general agreement tonight was "poeple *need* people; the drugs *may* or may not help:out of the initial Grande slide into the pit; but basically; without support of fiends, they may make you feel more helpless & dependent; unless there is a clear case that it's caused by a severe shortage of seratonin stuff.
There were varous "medical experts" there; all agreeed that anyne who managed to make it to the meetçng despite the physicical, mental, transport obstacles is Not Depressed, though they are undoubtedly Severely Pissed off enough to protest! (Depression i s Anger turned inwards)

Anger turned inwards? I couldn't imagine myself harbouring any hidden anger.
These 'ere anti-depressants: is it normal to spend the day feeling like you're in the first five minutes of coming up on a pill?
It's official: I'm depressed.
Liftliker - Share And Enjoy Posted Mar 7, 2008
First 5 minutes of a pill? Dude, the question should be "Where the eff were these things 15 years ago?"

Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo) Posted Mar 7, 2008
It's really not that great! It's the feeling bit fuzzy, having the edges tickled, preparing for the good stuff bit, but without the good stuff actually arriving.
It's official: I'm depressed.
Liftliker - Share And Enjoy Posted Mar 7, 2008
Oh right. Poop on that then.
So long as they stop you going completely down the pan, mood-wise, they's good though, right?
It's official: I'm depressed.
Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo) Posted Mar 7, 2008
Probably. Time will tell. They're just making me feel unsettled at the moment, but they take a couple of weeks to kick in properly.
You'd love the bass sound I've got. It rocks. You know, every time I play bass I think of you.

Aw shucks
While I remember, got the entire Hitchhiker radio series on CD, all 5 phases. Man, that's good eatin'!
If you've got them, remember to dip into them periodically, recall the wisdom of the large, friendly letters & never forget where your is.

Primeval Mudd (formerly Roymondo) Posted Mar 7, 2008
I've got 'em, and do dip in regularly. I need to get 'em on my mp3 player at some point.
Speaking of mp3 players: mine is currently playing host to The Mars Volta's new album. If you haven't you should, you'd like it.
