So that's Caerwynn and Gwennie, any other takers?
Sad? I bawled my eyes out, even though I *know* the conclusion, because I've been watching BBC2 with the start of Season 3!
I'll still watch it though
I loved that flash of memory by Crichton - all the tender moments with Aeryn
When evil Scorpious walked in mid-way through the operation and killed the with Crichton's brain exposed, I wanted totear Scorpi's head off!
I have been wracking my brains as to who D'Argo's son reminds me of.
Last night it finally occurred to me.
The last bloke I lived with, and he's a researcher on here so I won't name him
It's the eyes, I think.
I like Ed Harris, but Rutger Hauer does nothing for me.
I keep hearing about Lexx, but I keep forgetting to tape it!
I was ready for bed at 9pm last night after Farscape but an old Sliders follows it and I do like the first few series of Sliders, it's also the only time I get to see the delicious Quinnso I watched that then went to bed{my son got me up before 7am} so I am no night bird.
On another topic, I was browsing my new catalogue and I saw "Series One" of Farscape advertized, {on DVD} for £49.99, BUT Series One & Series 2 & another UNSEEN footage - 3 DVD's in total for £99.99.
Well, I'd already askedfor a DVD player for me forand I am *so* tempted to make that 3DVD set my first ever DVD purchase
I'm gonna have a look round the stores in town first though, see if there are any offers on

I'll take... Gwennie has my e-mail address! (hey Gwennie, don't mind you giving it out in this case .... drool!)
Ed Harris, does nothing for me. Samuel L. Jackson likewise. But talking of Apollo 13 I love Gary Sinise. He was great in Of Mice and Men (and I bawled at the end, even though I know the book practically by heart)
Didn't watch Farscape in favour of an evening of the History channel. I do occasionally watch things that have no letch whatsoever. A programme about William Wallace, one about Henry VIII and earlier on in the day (on Sci-Trek) Connections. I love James Burke (but not in a letchy way)
I'm still enjoying my Stargate breakfasts - although I just heard that the lovely Michael Shanks will make the new ones his last season!! aargghh. Anyone wanting to see him in severe angst (and jammies) should watch Channel 4 next Sunday (not sure of the time, they move it around... approx. 5pm) That boy can act!

What a relief, only got to wait till next week for the next part of Andromeda. Sky are playing their little games again!
I have been very torn between Dylan and Tyr, but I think Tyr nearly has it. I get distracted by Kevin Sorbo's chin, which gives a slight advantage to Tyr. Its a tough call.
When both he and I were very much younger, Richard Chamberlain was one of my swoons.
I have a feeling that without Zhaan, Metalhead is really going to get on my nerves.
I won't be sorry to see Michael Shanks leave Stargate, *ducks to avoid missiles*, Jack is man enough for me!

Did you watch Farscape last night? I only saw the last 20 mins, and I think I must be getting sensitive in my old age because I cried buckets! Crihton looks really hot when he's sad like that. Did you see his fingers playing with Aeryn's arm........ ohhhhhhhhhh.
I'm ignoring anyone who doesn't at think that Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson actually, I only really like him with glasses) is at least a demi-god. Did you see that trailer?? Teal'c in a cowboy outfit... now that I've got to see!
It's Tyr for me every time. I can't believe I tuned in last night and it was fantastico! Can't wait until next week. Sigh, looks like I'm sucked back in to having to letch Tyr on a weekly basis again!
Loved Richard Chamberlin in the Thorn Birds for some reason, must have been the outfit. And Bryan Brown in that... scrummy!
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Researcher 179388 Posted Sep 25, 2001
Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing the explanation of Teal'C in a stetson!
Bryan Brown was even scrummier in A Town Like Alice.
Farscape was a good one last night. However the jury is out on Orange Girl, the menfolk all still prefer Trance.

Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 25, 2001
Orange girl is just soooooooooooooooooooooo annoying I want to slap her. The menfolk in my house think Beka is a fine thing, but the kick-butt-space-girl award still goes to JDax.
A Town Like Alice... Bryan Brown... dribble...

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Sep 25, 2001
I saw all of last night's Farscape.
And I cried too.
It was very sad, especially when the cook had to take an arrow to put the timeline right.
When those nurses trussed Crichton up, I'm ashamed to admit that made me terribly horny.
More fuel for my fantasies...
~moves swiftly on~
Richard Chamberlain in the Thorn Birds! Yes! And Bryan Brown as a bit of rough
I also had a sneaking liking for Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, and Yul Brynner in The King and I was fantastic. Something about powerful men, reduced to little boys when they fall in love
I can't find where I saw that advert for those 3 DVD's for £99.99.
And you know what it's like when you can't find something you want to look up again? You turn the house upside down...
I saw the advert with Teal'c in his cowboy hat. I also heard Sam say "You've never seen Star Trek?" to Jack...and he says "Well, you know me and science fiction"
That episode looks good
I must admit I was very disappointed when I heard that Andromeda is back again next week.
I sat through Andromeda last night hoping it was a wake, I felt nothing with the crew all dying.
Sorry girls.
I'm really champing at the bit waiting for the new Trek with theScott Bakula at the helm.
~swoon~
You know, this thread is reminding me more and more of a pyjama party, ~passes round the~
What is Michael Shanks in, in his pj's on Sunday? Stargate? Just tell me the show, I'll look it up

Thanks for the , agb!
I do try to drool over Michael Shanks, honest, but he doesn't have the twinkle in his eye that does it for me! However I don't remember seeing an episode of him in his jammies, so will try catch that one.
It is interesting the differing views of Andromeda, definitely doesn't stand up to too much analysing, its just a bit of fun as far as I am concerned. Without Dylan and Tyr it wouldn't be worth watching.
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 25, 2001
I only really watch Andromeda to letch Tyr. But I liked the action last night, although the Magog suits are too funny.
Stargate on Sunday on Ch4 is the one where Daniel (slurp!) gets locked in a padded cell... so we see his feet! He cries too. And shouts, and acts like a loony. Well, I liked it. Even though it's a bit...... ah, I'm a sucker for anything Gateish. (except Brief Candle, where Jack got old. That was poop)
I'll hae some too please? Anyone want ?
I've been discussing James Burke (remember Connections?) on another board. We want to have his babies! Is that strange or what!
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Researcher 179388 Posted Sep 25, 2001
I can see why James Burke would be baby-worthy, he is extremely intelligent, which can outweigh looks with the right personality and a twinkle, of course
would be nice, thanks.

Talking about twinkles in eyes. Last night there was a film on TV here with Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts. I had to search the web to find out the English title. It was called 'I love Trouble" and was about two reporters uncovering a genetic manipulation scare. Anyway, the point was, although there probably wasn't much "chemistry" between JR and NN, (I can't think what anyone sees in her, actually. Personality yes. Looks no) the way he looked at her was just so knee-melting. He can do that with any of his leading ladies, and he can't have the hots for all of them. Can he?
And it's not as if he looks great, either. He has je ne sais quoi and looks like something dragged in out of the Australian outback.
I haved read articles pointing out that the women men seem to go for these days are less of the perfect lookers (not like before or during the war, where the ideal was Jean Harlow or Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo ,etc) but people with imperfections - an ugly spot (Cindy Crawford) - a mouth far too big (Julia Roberts) - Eyes too close together, something like that.
Maybe there's a chance for us yet. Hysterectomy scars could become the symbol of mature sexiness.

There was a tv series some years ago, about a girl with a hare lip, set in the 19thC, can't remember what it was called.
Needless to say she was regarded as being less than useless because of her lack of looks. However there was traveller type bloke who fell for her personality, intelligence etc.
The way he looked at her was the talk of the nurses' coffee room for weeks! The really sexy thing is that when I first met my husband, he looked at me in exactly the same way. Some years later when we were talking about our first meeting, he says he was just trying to focus on me as he wasn't wearing his glasses!
Have you seen the photos in today's papers of Davina McCalls husband?
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 26, 2001
TC, you should have posted a *coffee splurt alert* there! ho ho ho
Davina McCall's husband? Is he a looker? I wouldn't want to be him the way she talks about her sex life so openly (my mum once showed me an article she'd written about BJs and mouthwash....)
And funny you should say that about your husband and his glasses. My friend had the same thing, only she was trying to get used to new glasses and kept squinting at him (so she thought) he thought it was cute!
And regarding imperfection: that will be why I have a trail of men flocking round me all the time!
(did all you letchers see that Daniel Jackson will "leave" Stargate at the end of the 5th season, not completely, but there will deffo be less of him )
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Sep 26, 2001
I remember that episode now, when they lock Daniel Jackson away.
I thank goodness they've never done an "opera" version of Stargate yet, as they have done with Hercules and Xena. They were toofor words, but then, I'm not an opera fan. It would be interesting to hear the views of those episodes by opera fans.
Those Magog costumes reminded me of those creatures that were in "The Time Machine" {Morlocks?} and the way they threw themselves backwards every time an exploding shot hit them, well Oscar time, folks.
Sorry, but I am seriously disappointed with Andromeda.
Davina McCall's husband?
Can't say I've seen him.
B-j's and mouthwash eh? I've heard of b-j's and toothpaste
I *did* watch the BBC's holiday programme last night and found myself enjoying Jamie Theakston more now that I know he is single again and is obviously into older women, I wonder if I email my phone number to the BBC he would give me a call?
What's on tonight?
Ooh, Teal'c in a cowboy hat
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 26, 2001
Don't know what shocked me more... my mum knowing who Davina McCall is or her knowing about BJs (and mouthwash!). It was a newie on me...... hmmmmm so toothpaste too, huh?
I've decided to watch Andromeda on Monday, and decide week by week. I think I watched it because I didn't watch Farscape on Sunday or much of it on Monday. Oh, it's 2 Stargates for me tonight and Farscape..... *blissful sigh!*
Jamie Theakston: after the battering he gave all my fav tv progs you can keep him! As long as I can claim sole possession of Daniel Jackson sobbing his heart out in PJs! (I wish!)
OK... anyone else fancy David Hemmings as Mordred all those years ago? (in leather trousers, funnily enough?

"Jamie Theakston: after the battering he gave all my fav tv progs you can keep him! "
Enlighten me!
I have missed this!
If he's slagged off Stargate/Farscape/Star Trek then we'll hang, draw & quarter him, girls!
David Hemmings in "Camelot" eh?
One of my favourite films that.
Must say I preferred the wonderous Lancelot. It's the eyes, the way he looked at Guinevere{here we go again!}I am trying to remember his name...Nero?
There was also another similar scene in "The Yellow Rolls Royce", with Shirley MacLaine and Alain Delon. Oh my, the look in his eyes when he climbed into the back of that Rolls...
Omar Sharif was also in that film, surprised he hasn't been mentioned here before.
I loved his cameo role in one of the Pink Panther movies, when he bonked the heroine, and she thought it was Clouseau, and she fell madly in love with this "vundevul luvverrr" hehehehe
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 26, 2001
Sure I mentioned that I fell in love with Omar Sharif whilst watching Lawrence of Arabia with my dad....
Jamie Theakston hosted that C4 100 kids programmes thing. He and all the other sub-human... sub-mature human types were badly dissing John Craven's newsround, Jakanory etc. (mostly because they have the attention spans of goldfish I suspect. But then, I'm an intellectual snob anyway )
Did you all watch Stargate tonight... Orlin... Phwoar! so, tell me again: what else has Sean Patrick Flannery been in?
Kiss me Kate was just on which got me thinking about Alan Davies and his curly hair again....
Letchers anonymous {not!} ;-) Who's got je ne sais quoi
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Sep 26, 2001
Oh I really enjoyed that Stargate.
We were wrong with that trailer, the conversation was about Star Wars, and Teal'c has seen it many times
That alien who fell in love with Sam...she's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.
Well, my pants would have dropped of their own accord....
I must find myself a man who says things like that.
He made me want to melt....Mmmmmmmmmm
Daniel didn't do anything for me at all tonight, maybe because he was fully clothed?
Do you think Jack looked jealous when Sam shut the door on him, and he knew she had someone else there?
He told her to "have a good time"...is that men-speak for "so long as you don't enjoy your time with him more than you do when you are with me"....God Forbid men should EVER show their feelings.
Damn.
Sorry, my angst coming out here.
Tomorrow my son goes to school at 8.30am and I am a free woman until Saturday afternoon, due to my respite care {two months worth}, and what are my plans?
Bingo with my daughter Friday night.
I really need a RL man.
*snaps fingers*
Nope, that didn't work.
Oh well, off to watch the Farscape I taped while watching Stargate now.
