I'm hoping that the problem is with Gwennie's pc or connection rather than anything else
You will s, Sho! I'm itching for the dvd to come out now.
Got Two Weeks Notice and Phone Booth.
No1 son says that Colin Farrell in Phone Booth has red blooded males questioning their orientation 'cos Mr Farrell is so good looking

Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 6, 2003
oh, I would love to see Phone Booth, but we have to go to the pictures one at a time, and next time will be man's turn, so I'll have to wait for the DVD of that.
But boy also has men questioning their orientation too... what is it with modern throbs?
I heard the s DVD will be out in December...

Is Phone Booth worth seeing? The trailers look good, but I can never tell from those.
*wriggling about in excitement about otC*
btw, the nice pictures of box from the GQ thing are available, minus silly writing all over them, at the following link:

at the top, marked as new
and if you haven't seen this webbie yet, have a good rummage around.

saw otC last night
I'm in with Johnny Depp (still) and Orlando Bloom was ok, but really only a bit of eye-candy and a straightman for (Captain) Jack Sparrow.
I hate going to the pictures on my own, but it wasn't so bad. I was surrounded by grown up women over the two main men.
There were plenty of too. And the action was fab. There are a few questions I have about the plot though...
So, all in all, worth waiting for.

Coniraya Posted Sep 8, 2003
It was a bit of good fun wasn't it? I would be quite happy to be carried off by Jack Sparrow
We watched Phone Booth last night and Colin Farrell was exceedingly worthy. It's quite a short film, about 70 mins, but the suspense couldn't have gone on any longer and it is good film.
Any news of Gwennie?

Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 8, 2003
No news from Gwennie, I'll try to remember to call tonight.
I'll watch Phone Booth some time, probably when it gets on Sky (if I can still get it)
Still knocked out by otC... love "Welcome to the Caribbean" line!

Still no news from Gwennie here
I have taken to watching Providence on Hallmark (10 am and 5 pm BST), Tuesday's episode had more good looking men in it than you could shake a stick at!

I've mislaid Gwennie's telephone number
I'll send her a snail this weekend.
On a more note... I watched that Judge John Deede (is that what it's called?) with Martin Shaw last night.
Man, he's sexy! I've always liked Martin Shaw, even as the really tight-trousered professional with curly hair, but now he's even better!
slurp!
~drool~ thread
Coniraya Posted Sep 12, 2003
Yep, John Deede is rather able. My Dad and H watch it for Jenny Seagrove.
Martin Shaw was also good a couple of weks ago as Adam Dalgleish, so much more easy on the eye than Roy Marsden.
I think that it must be Gwennie's computer or connection that is the problem, otherwise I'm sure she would have posted something in her journal if she was able to and things had gone pear shaped.

Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 13, 2003
We're currently having a discussion about which one was Jenny Seagrove. When I'm proved right by IMDB, what pennance should I exact from man? (heh heh heh, I'm right)
If Martin Shaw was always Dalgleish, instead of that other chappie, I'd be tuned in regularly.
Stargate starts again soon...

Coniraya Posted Sep 13, 2003
Jennie Seagrove plays the QC, slim with a short blonde bob and she and Deedes had a thing for each other in their past when the series starts.
Coelacanth (U107357) has Gwennie's number and will text her if you haven't already.
I am barely containing my excitement at the return of SG . I'm dreaming of Jack already
~drool~ thread
Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 13, 2003
so, Judge Dedes is a series? I take it the ep I saw is from the middle of the series or something?
Don't get too excited about seeing Jack. Richard Dean Anderson/Jack won't be working so much this year since in RL the actor wants to spend more time with his 5 year old daughter.
Still, the bits of him we do see are mighty fine, so far.

You can call me TC Posted Sep 14, 2003
I have just read Harry Potter V again and think that James Purefoy would be the perfect Sirius. Where do I send my suggestion to?
Sorry to butt in.
anyone? Please keep us au courant about Gwennie.

Mr Prophet (General Purpose Genre Guru) Posted Sep 14, 2003
Too late, I'm afraid. The part of Sirius Black has gone to Gary Oldman, IIRC.
~drool~ thread
You can call me TC Posted Sep 14, 2003
But he's supposed to be good looking??? And Oldman is too short and would look silly with long hair. Colin Farrell would have been a good second though. And James Purefoy is so nice and English.
Anyway what about Dumbledore - do you know who's taking that part over? Peter O'Toole? I can't think of anyone more suitable.
.... s off to sulk
~drool~ thread
Coniraya Posted Sep 14, 2003
Peter O'Toole is sadly deceased. I think Michael Gambon has got the part.
Nice to see you guys back BTW. No news of Gwennie But I shall ask coelacanth to text her.
~drool~ thread
Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 14, 2003
Michael Gambon?
Noooooo!
And Gary Oldman is no good (IMO) for Sirius, I'd go with James Pruferoy or the chappie I was at last night in the Count of Monte Christo (either the eponymous hero or the dastardly Magistrate)

Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Sep 14, 2003
Oh I dunno - Gary Oldman was rather worthy with long hair in Dracula...
Hmm - spotting a theme/obsession of mine about 's here...

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Sep 14, 2003
Gary Oldman is very worthy, something to do with the intelligence of the man
And Peter O'Toole's still alive isn't he?
I'm sure of it
