It was just about to end very happily indeed when H's alarm clock went off

Most of the reasons for getting your mind out of the gutter can not be mentioned in polite company, or even among you lot!
Currently, I just have toast for breakfast. Anyway, over the last two week I've lost eight pounds, which is perhaps a little fast but sets me well on the way to a more sylphlike me.

- the Buffy that GB is talking about on Sky are just repeats and have already been on BBC.
This was a public service announcement.

just toast for brekkies? 8lbs is pretty impressive though, just make sure you're drinking lots (of water)
I exist on a mars bar for breakfast, and a cheese sandwich sometime in mid-afternoon
with copious amounts of coffee (black) and water (volvic) and two apples a day, which I force down between phone calls with customers. I haven't eaten normally for ages now, which explains the sylph like figure (which is wearing form fitting black stuff today, so I can play with the heads of the young men in our warehouse. mwahahahahaha!)
still not seen
otC
no letch on tv (I do not count
players)

Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Aug 20, 2003
Why haven't you eaten normally Sho?
I hope you're taking care of yourself young lady...
*looks sternly over her (occasional) glasses*
Oh congrats on the successful weight loss Prophet!
So no for you then....

Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Aug 20, 2003
Oh oh oh oh!!!
Sho, you best sit down luv with nice for this...
After perusing the latest SFX mag in WHSmiths this afternoon (purely to see what James Marsters is up to these days, not to read the otc articles, oh no sir...
) who should I nearly bump into in my little town than an
boy lookalike!
He had a spookily similar face, was tall (which, in this town is strange in itself...), had long blonde/brown hair and a biker jacket.
So I letched by proxy for you, ok?
Honestly, the things I do for my friends....

The eating thing is part of a sort of eating disorder i've had for years whereby when the rest of my life gets really hectic, the only thing I control is what I eat.
I think, I'm not sure
but right now, and since the beginning of this year, I've been so stressed, I really don't feel hungry. Just as well I was a fat girl to start with, now I'm just a slim-ish girl. Which is nice - but not healthy (hence forcing myself to eat the apples, drink the water and keep up the vitamins)
I just had a health-check and I'm fab, apparently.
Thanks for letching on my behalf, I really can't get enough of boy, it's sad at my age really!
OH.... hot off the press. Apparently on 8th August Michael Shanks (aka Daniel from Stargate) married Lexa Doig (aka Andromeda from... er Andromeda)
nah, good luck to 'em!

Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Aug 21, 2003
Sho - I can understand what you say about having control over your eating if you can't have control over anything else that happens in your life.
Just make sure that you eat your greens, ok?
Control is a funny old game really. When you think about it, we don't really have control over anything in our lives - even our lungs carry on about their business with no help from us. But of course it's a natural instinct to want to try and have at least some measure of say in what happens to us, and when.
Just remember that worry or not, you get to the same place in the end, so better to try not to worry than to stress yourself out and end up unwell, right?
Easier said than done, I know!!
Take it easy on yourself girl.

Here you are Sho.
OK, we've got Sky now and I'm having my neck op in a couple of weeks so what do I want to watch while immobilised? Which channels/days/times?
(And how big a bib should I wear?)
~drool~ thread
Leopardskinfynn... sexy mama Posted Aug 21, 2003
Oh Buffy of course Tefkat!
It's on SkyOne (channel 106) during the day (12 maybe? ) and repeated at 6pm every day.

Sho - employed again! Posted Aug 21, 2003
oh thanks all, I'm ok really, getting a handle on the eating thing (and I was -until recently - a fairly hefty lass, so no need to worry)
ok, what do you want to drool at?
I think Stargate is still on during the day, but I'm not sure.
Farscape is on the Sci-fi channel at 5pm - plenty to at there
er... I'm so consumed by my letching at boy (ohhhh a friend just sent me the vid of him on Graham Norton's show, what a little cutie...
boy, not Graham Norton!) that I can't think of letching anyone else.
Thanks for the and the
anyone want to share?

Just to say that I'm officially excited about watching LOTR on tv tonight, as opposed to watching the DVD on my notebook (and I have a relatively small tv, so that shows that I am Officially Sad)
and
at the ready

No tv out card on your laptop then, Sho?
Apparently the Two Towers dvd is out ahead of it's Tuesday official release date.

More for James to moan at!
I wish I could find the piccy in my local paper for you gals, of those firemen who kindly washed my car last week...
Daniel married Andromeda?
Lucky girlie.......

Sho - employed again! Posted Aug 23, 2003
I wouldn't know a tv out card if it jumped up and bit me on the nose!
Most likely not, it's fairly new, but it is very very basic. As it was a freebie I can't really complain.
What sort of lead would I need? I can look if I have a connector (presumably it goes in the tv where the Digibox normally goes?)
~drool~ thread
Coniraya Posted Aug 23, 2003
Well, being no expert, I'll ask H..........
......he says it's a phono connector, it is single circular socket and the one on his machine has a yellow 'collar'.
You can buy the relevant cables to connect to your tv from any pc shop.
We have our Two Towers dvd and the dilemma is do we watch that and record Martin Shaw on BBC1 tonight in the PD James two parter or watch the dvd?
We shall have to record the second half tomorrow anyhoo as we are going to see otC
~drool~ thread
Sho - employed again! Posted Aug 23, 2003
I'll have a look at the notebook, this could be an exciting new development for me.
Watch Martin Shaw you can watch TTT any time. (are you also going to get the extended version?)
Thinking about booking a ticket to watch all 3 LOTR films in December (but in German) at a cinema in Düsseldorf.
dceisions decisons!
~drool~ thread
Tefkat Posted Aug 23, 2003
It's prolly worth recording the first half as well in that case and then having one long orgy of it
The littlun saw the Two Towers dvds in Asda and has now decided we're evil parents because we refused to buy it (Hmm - there's an idea for a Christmas present - we got the machine last Christmas and only have 3 dvds so far, but one of them IS LOTR)
Thanks for the suggestions folks - it's daytime ones I'm more interested in, for the 8 hours or so of daily abandonment, but I'm sure I can sneak some evening watching in while Hubby's out for his nightly walk with The Blonde Bitch.
Keep your chin up Sho.
