Turin Brakes are ok (the video for their last single Underdog(Save Me) was based on the film My Own Private Idaho, with Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix, which is good enough for me). Suede, however, are one of the best bands in the world. Ever. I'd recommend CD1 of Sci-Fi Lullabies (the b-sides collection).

Wahey! Red Hot Chilli Peppers, that should be fun.
Hilarious thing in NME last week: reader writes in saying King Adora are better than Travis. Journalist says no they're not, cos "Travis touch people, OK? Yes, King Adora touch people as well, but that's being dealt with by the appropriate authorities."

i know. i also read the mini interview with the singer, who sounds like a [willy]
im not a fan of the peppers. im going for the placebos and muses of this world. and pheonix, who no one i know has heard of.

Matt is very lovely, I'll have you know!
I probably shouldn't say this, but I know who Phoenix are. They're French, I think. And they're quite funky. Jools Holland likes them.
KA are playing Gig on The Green! Yay!

yes. pheonix are incredibly funky, but also incredibly french. like a combination of stereophonics (only if the stereophonics could write good songs) and daft punk...hehe
