I'm going to the dentist at 12 noon today.
I'm having two teeth out.
My front two - they're not my teeth, they're 30-year-old caps, one of which has been very loose for months and been a source of worry
So, it's the roots of two teethbeing extracted
I'll be glad when it's all over, and recovered from the trauma
It'll be nice to come back, log in and find a thread-full of and sympathy (even from lurkers who never normally or rarely post)
Tea, sympathy, hugs, here please

Hope it'll all be alright, GB.
I would send you some and , but in the circumstances, perhaps that's not wise.
Have some and instead.

I had that done a couple of years ago, except that my teeth were still whole. In fact they were quite healthy, I had broken one right off by falling over, so they had to be removed. I was delighted, even when laying down with my face on the pavement, I thought Yes!!!! Free tooth replacement - my old "real" teeth were awful.
So - don't worry about it - just dream of the nice new look you'll get when the new bridge is finished, or whatever you're having. And take no sh*t - make sure you do get nice ones that don't look "false".

Have just looked at the clock. It's 12:57 here CET, which means you have three minutes to go BST. Despite trying to be cheerful just now, I must admit a little shudder did grab me when I realised you'd be going down very soon.
Just concentrate on , and

Thanks everybody!
Live from cock-up central, which is my life, who would like to know what happened at the surgery?
I walk in dripping wet, shake my umbrella on their mat and say my name.
*rustle of papers*
"Erm, we can't seem to find you, are you sure you have the correct day?"
*rustle in handbag for appointment card, luckily written out by receptionist*
"Would you like to take a seat in the waiting room while we find out what's going on?"
*waits half an hour*
"Miss *****, come through...we don't know why someone didn't phone you to cancel today's appointment. We can't find your temporary bridge, so we can't remove your teeth today. However seeing as how you're here, the dentist would like to take another impression so another bridge can be ordered. We're really sorry, someone should have called you..."
So, impression taken, go back in three weeks.
I really don't know whether I'm upset or not, I just desperately need a and thanks everyone for all your thoughts, I feel such a fraud.
Thanks to all the usual lurkers who delurked, yes, I did mean you
