Hi GB. Sorry I missed this but still...
Best of luck for next time!
turvy
BTW what do you want for Christmas?
Tea, sympathy, hugs, here please
taliesin Posted Jun 1, 2005
Hmm. By the looks of things, I don't suppose you'll be needing this right now.
No sense letting this go to waste though....

A temporary reprieve and you have to face it all again in 3 weeks. Poor thing you need more and and I bet.

I would rather go to almost any doctor, than the dentist! (I had really bad experiences with a dentist when I was a kid.)
you have to go back in 3 weeks!

Just out of curiosity - do you have to pay for the procerdure and temporary bridge and new teeth and all?

GB here is more and sympathy.
Glad the appointment was not a total waste of time.
Hope all goes smoothly from here.
I have been through it and I'm very happy with the results but it is quite a process.
The cost hurt the most!

Same with me, Kaz, I've said all along I would rather have another baby (the birth) than sit in a dentist's chair
That's a great poem, thank you UberGek
Hati - I will have to pay the National Health charge. Don't know what it will be yet
Thanks abbi - glad you came throught it alright

Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Posted Jun 2, 2005
*runs in far too late...*
What a pity you had to go through all that, GB. Even more of a pity it's not over yet.
I didn't mind dentists until the last time I went to one... I was having the last remaining wire of my braces removed (about three years too late! ), I was fine when I went in, but came out with toothache!
And /then/ he recommended I pay him a couple of thousand dollars for the priveledge of him removing all of my wisdom teeth at once! They're not even fully risen yet, let alone at all painful!
And then my jaw was broken a couple of weeks later, so not only was it a waste of time, money and pain to have had braces in the first place, it was also a waste to have had the last wire removed, and now I've got a tooth and a half less than I started with as well.
So all in all, not good. I'm sure with a decent amount of anesthetic and your op will work out a lot better, GB. Just think to the future. Good luck.

Oops. I was the 27th poster... I copied in lyrics to a song. Guess we're not allowed to do that...
It is a really great song. As soon as I read the title to this thread I thought of it... "Tea & Sympathy" by Jars of Clay. You'll just have to go look it up yourselves if you're intersted.

Thanks, UG.
I'm glad you posted that. I've already gone and read the lyrics; I might have to track down the song too, now.

UberGek {Oo-behr Geek} Posted Jun 6, 2005
Gek means mad in german/dutch? I've been trying to figure that out... I mean it like Geek of course... Uber I mean as overly, most extreme... I have accents on the letters in real life. They just don't work in postings...
Well, I do hope everything works out nicely for you and your smile is in top condition for any future snoggings... What are snoggings? It sounds dirty... :P
