Cheers AGB
Trouble is, my PC has just died with all manner of hard and software maladies. So I've had to pop out and buy another one
(And this new one is way fast )

Hmm, I might have to start worrying about you catching up to me soon... I am only 1000 units (give or take) ahead of you.
I really do need to figure out how to get my second machine working with seti. Linux is just a maze to me.

What an unfortunate mishap, GreyDesk!
Did you get a bargain in the sales?
Congrats Marv!
I can't work out what happened in my previous post
I know I posted more than that but I don't know what's happened to it and I can't remember what I posted.
Anyone else planning on seeing the new Star Trek film opening on Friday? I'm going alone, but I don't care!

I won't give any spoilers, but I have already seen it. I guess it opened sooner here.

ooh ohh ohh
Don't tell me!
This is my first official respite night, since the end of May. A complete coincidence that the Trek film opens that night, I assure you.
I might even book a ticket online to ensure I don't have to queue, or God Forbid, it be fully booked.
Although if I had a Trek uniform, I might have queued just for the fun of it.
There's a Star Trek exhibition at Hyde Park until the end of Jan, I hope that it's still on for the London meet-up, that'd be a great event!
So, don't give anything away, but did you enjoy the film?

Mixed reactions for me. It was OK but it seemed a little strained at times.

*looks over shoulder*
You'll be catching me up in no time!
Strained, Marv? Oh, don't tell me, even if I beg! I'll be seeing it myself in 4 days time.
*thinks about pricing up new pc's in the sales.....*

I've seen lights which look just like lit carrots!
I especially like the lights dangling from people's roofs {rooves?} which look like icicles.
I might get some of them for next Christmas.
Very pretty.
