Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jan 4, 2005
This is a gossip thread?? I thought it was a ROMANCE thread....
GUESS WHAT!???
.... The Valentine's Day aisle's being set. It's sooooo great and yet also so stupidly corny...
I feel very bad for the guy who gets stuck with the girl who thinks those conversation cards were a good idea. They provide various conversation starters: "Do you believe in angels?"... "Who do you admire most and why?"
I really LOVE Valentine's Day, but it can be the most awful holiday at the very same time. Most of mine were not very good at all.

The Valentine's Day aisle is being set up?
I'm just taking my Xmas trimmings & down!
*coughs*
Dusty in here.
Gotta dust, polish, then hoover.
Spring clean, that's what my house needs.
And me, as well.
Gotta springclean my life.
Starting today.
Just need some energy from somewhere......wish I could plug into whatever my son is wired up to...

I'm still in the US (last day ~*sob*~) and I saw Valentines Day Cards on sale in 2004 when we went shopping on new years eve.

I checked my local shop when I went for my local paper.
They still have Xmas cards up
The staff are run off their feet, but you have to forgive them, there's a bucket on the counter asking for people's change, for the tsunami appeal.
It's been emptied 3 times.

It's all so disproportionate though - when millionaires give a million, or hundreds of thousands, they hardly miss it, 'cos they're still rich.
I gave what I could, and I don't feel guilty about it.
Talking of romance, Valentine's Day whatever, someone I know is getting married then. Feb 14th. My ex-husband. Yes, the one I just divorced. Is the ink even DRY?

Hey, she's welcome to him. I feel sorry for her, and now I'm happy to be free. New year, new start, new me.

Maybe he's just lucky.
My first ex-hubby, after 11 years of marriage to me, met his second wife two weeks after we separated.
They have since married, had a family, and have now been wed longer than we were.
Sometimes isn't so slow off the mark.

Its basic respect for yourself and the other person not to jump straight in again though..even after a shorter relationship let alone one that long!

I'm not endorsing his actions, but men do have a more hyperactive sex drive.

Not all the time
Anyway its still bad..you have to give yourself time to heal after leaving a relationship let alone the other person , regardless of who ended it..I think anything less than 3 or 4 months is out or order..its also not too fair on the new boyfriend/girlfriend either! Its no fun being a rebound..
