Ku'Reshtin (Bring the beat back!) Posted Jul 8, 2002
I'll save the for the flat-warming party. Didn't get the new hair colour as when I went to the only place where they had times to book, they didn't know what I was trying to explain to them:
Me: "Can you dye my hair so I get, like, tiger stripes."
Hair-dresser girl: "What do you mean, tiger stripes?"
Me: "You know. first bleach my hair, and then add black stripes to it, so it looks like tiger stipes."
HDG: "What, like high lights?"
Me: " No, not high lights. So that it looks kind of like the fur of a tiger."
HDG: " I don't know what you mean. Let me go check."
At this time she goes over to one of her colleagues and starts talking to her. Returns after about two minutes of puzzled looks and glancing in my general direction.
HDG: " No, we can't do that, and even if we could, we don't have time for it."
Me: "Okay. Oh well, not much you can do about that, then. Bye."
I mean, I'm not saying that she was thick or anything, but... I mean.. Come on. Don't know what a tiger looks like?? Damn...
Anyways, no update. Still in here.

I'm still here, although I've spent the weekend watching some of the fittest backsides on the planet.
In case you missed it on Eurosport, it was the Grand Depart of the Tour de France (think I'll get away without moderation there - lucky the French and English words are spelled the same!)

To Luckystar, were you the 3rd person to the left of the Start platform? If so, you didn't wave.
I would have thought that the most revealing, and not necessarily appealing, view was when the yellow/ green/ polkadot/pink sripes with puce bits ( no, he just fell off...) jersey, held the Credit Lyonnaise lion/ bouquet above his head. Speaking as at least a potential cyclist, I wouldn't wear those shorts, tho the special underwear alternative could be flattering if not for the bum bit.
I watch the Tour religiously, ( tho' it can be difficult to hear the commentary when you're chanting), and the views of Luxembourg are far more varied than I would have expected from my Viewmaster stereo slides of the royal gardens, which is all I basically know of Luxembourg, aside from being a founder member of the E.U. and having Grace Kelly and Grand prix ( love that tunnel) and a big casino.
Oh and could you answer my posting under TEFL please

Hello everyone...no, I wasn't away getting lucky either, my pc got very poorly & I just had to debug & reinstal Windows.
I went to see a film this morning {nothing better to do...} Vanilla Sky - if you ever get the chance.....DON'T BOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would rack that up as the worst film I've ever seen and that's not _just_ because there was a full-screen picture of Bjork caterwalling!
Oh, dear. I have American settings, even though I specifically selected United Kingdom when I reinstalled...
Oh well, it'll keep me out of mischief I suppose.....
Now, how do I get the monitor settings to change from 16 colours to 256 colours, so I can reinstall seti"home?
setiathome.
I've lost my at sign.

Can you be Crying outside, ( or a least looking Miserable, or, if you're a Yorkshireman or a charactor in a Bodice Ripper, dour)and Smiling within?
You'd save a fortune in toothpaste!

"Got lucky?"
"Scored?"
"Any excitement?"
Could we, the celibate, set up a sub committee to agree a suitable euphemism for that which we aren't getting ( I favour "Swaived" myself)?

Got lucky means scoring with me, I think
New addition to my desk (this should really be on the what junk is on your desk thread, but I'm not sure that lot'd understand)
I may have mentioned before my imaginery boyfriend Steven. Well, when I was out shopping at lunchtime, I noticed that Barbie's boyfreind Ken has a mate called Steven! He even has a little label attached saying "The perfect date!". So I had to have him. (Now now, you know what I mean)
He brings a smile(y) to my face
Key: Complain about this post
