would be nice. Oh, and milk too, please.
I keep wondering... I mean, it's always like the first time when it's the first time with someone new. Isn't it?

Hi everyone.
It's me, the old virgin guy (36 now ). Check this out. Just got back from a week in Florida with my "friend" (the one who disappeared on me back in Oct. 2000). I love her more than anything. Anyway, a week in Florida alone with her and I'm still a virgin. Sigh.
I should feel really frustrated by this, but I'm not. We really do well together as friends and I'm pretty sure she doesn't want anything more.
There are only a couple of things that are buggin me at this point though:
1) I wonder if I am using her as a shelter so I don't have to try with anyone else?
2) I wonder if she has more than "just friend" feelings for me since she's the one that invited me down there with her?
I guess I will ask her.
Anyway, I am glad this thread is back.

You just spent a week in Florida?
How nice for you...
What was the weather like?
TC - that's another thing I'm a virgin at! Only ever had one partner at a time!

A famous person once said ...
"If men knew half as much as women thought, they'd be twice as bold" ... or something like that ...
Carpe Diem (he says as if it's that easy) ... there are times when you just have to grab the bull by the horns ... in the words of the song - "Que Sera, sera" ...

i think asking her is a good idea.
unless...
she may answer "yes" - and if you are not willing to accept the invitation you might get a problem

The Florida weather was awesome! Sunny days with temps from 27° to 29° C (80° to 85°F).
We had such a fun time just doing friend type stuff that we never did discuss my "issue". She drove me to drink though . We had a Corona on the beach (my 1st beer).

"she may answer "yes" - and if you are not willing to accept the invitation you might get a problem"
Oh, I'd have NO problem following through...
Anyway, I guess I'll find out the next time I see her. Place yer bets (it's gonna be a 500:1 longshot).

"I wonder... "
She said I would have known (or she would have let me know... or something ). That's a good thing, because I'm clueless about reading people.

There's a lot to be said for non-sexual relationships.
For one thing, your ego doesn't take a battering.
And if you had an affair- then fell out for whatever reason, you'd lose the friendship.
So decide if the friendship or the sex is more important - either keep this girl as a friend or ask her to marry you.
I'm single again - so I might be tempted to try some of those things I'm still a virgin at.....

I remember taking myself through a serious battle inside - I wanted to keep him as a friend but I knew an affair would blow it. We stayed friends and we have been very close friends for almost 20 years. This battle made him even closer for me.

If it's as strong a friendship as you imply then surely it would take a major upheaval to destroy it.
Asking her if the feeling is mutual could admittedly cause a little friction in the short term but ultimately you'd pull through. You'd kick yourself (as would she) if both of you were too reserved to take the first step but only found out years later that feelings were mutual.
I know it's easier said than done, and the first step is the hardest and I realise that there is a lot at stake but still ...
(I make it sound so easy!)
