This is slightly off topic, but I once had a volunteer at the library who bought rather expensive presents for several of us. Not birthday or Christmas gifts. She would just show up out of the blue with a gift for one or the other of us. It was a nice gesture, but it made us rather uncomfortable. We often thought that she was lonely and trying to buy our friendship.
Sorry, but I haven't thought about her for years. I return you to your regular discussion.
