The First Day of X-mas...
Malabarista - now with added pony Posted Jan 10, 2008
So here's a puzzle - everyone knows that Christmas Day and New Year's Day are always on the same day of the week - they're exactly one week apart.
But in 2000, Christmas Day was a Monday and New Year's Day was a Saturday - why?

mm.. quite interesting that year, as it was a leap year and all other multiple of 100 years are not leap years
.. 1900 wasn't, 2100 won't be for example. 2000 was..

From a LED or two back:
>Pierce .. you may be able to cook yourself.. but I decided I'll not eat the result
Speaking of that:
Much to his dad and mum's dismay
Horace ate himself one day
He didn't stop to say his grace
He just sat down and ate his face

(decided not to upset the mods by pasting the full text here)
So maybe it is better that Pierce doesn't cook himself

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Jan 11, 2008
the year in which jesus was born does not exist in our calendar. unlike the year before he was born and the year after he was born and many other years.
hence follows, of course, that jesus was never born.
however, that is not my point.
my point is: would it have been a lap year?
(slowly eating himself, at least digesting his own fat and proteines, since he's on a diet)
