PhilB is older than he wants to be, approaching fatherhood, has an under utilised intellect - according to his ego - and is clearly in the frustrating throws of a grossly premature mid-life crisis.
He would love to have staccato conversations on matters scientific, sporting and cultural and any insights into the American psyche would be greatly appreciated as it may stop him from wanting to strangle his boss.
