Oh yes!! How could I forget that??
Just remembered to have a word with dad about your processor, and he says no way. *sigh* Oh well, it does all I want it to do... slowly... except one game, which is almost too fast to be played.
We do seem to have been!
Oh, OK.
I just let her. She hardly ever does it any more, so I'm just leaving it in hope that she never remembers again... *looks hopeful*
Yes, I've heard about that and have determindely not been involved in it. Except one post. But, no I'm refusing to have anything to do with it, too many people are already.
*sigh* Why can't everyone just get on with each other?
You may not, but I might.
OK then... *wonders off thinking*

Chris Tonks Posted Jul 24, 2001
I don't know. How could you?
Ah well... I'm not surprised that he wouldn't accept a processor from a complete stranger to him. Heigh ho... I hope he succeeds in convincing your mum to get a better computer.
Yes. Ah well, I suppose there's a first time for everything.
Indeed. I shall wait.
...
...
Right.
Well, I hope she stops doing it! *Also looks hopeful.*
I honestly don't know...
It is I who matter... I think... No, hang on, /you're/ the person about to play Flashback...
*Waits more...*
Morning!
Chris Tonks Posted Jul 24, 2001
BTW, I got your last e-mail a few hours ago, but didn't reply straight away. I meant to now, but the version of Outlook with your e-mail in it refuses to open at all!
So just in case I don't see you before I leave for Paris, I just want to leave a few dates, so you know when I'll be at home to receive letters. (Subtle hint there. )
Paris: 26/07 - 31/07
Home: 01/08 - 09/08
Italy: 10/08 - 25/08
Home: 26/08 - forever
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Jul 24, 2001
Errmmm... ask my memory...
It wasn't just that he doesn't know you, it was also that he reckons the motherboard wouldn't be able to cope with something so fast...
Ho hum.
There is, yes. Even if it never happend.
You finished waiting now then?
Yep. She'll have to in three years time anyway...
I guess it's just human nature... *sighs again*
*grins* Well, by the time you're back I should have played it.
Sorry, but this is going to take thinking about. I managed to think up another argument against the one I thought up yesterday...
*grins* I was actually just going to send letters when I could and let them pile up for you whenever you happened to be home. But enjoy Paris and Italy.
Damn. Just missed you online... Sorry, but not only did we have to spend slightly more time shooting tonight, and they'd closed off the bypass back and we had to go round the longer way...
It's just life I guess... *sighs again*

Chris Tonks Posted Jul 25, 2001
OK, I will!
Oh Memory of Ming, part with your wisdom! Tell me why she forgot something I wrote.
Hmm, he's got a point there...
This is indeed very true.
No. I'm still here, waiting patiently as ever.
Ah, but maybe she'll start sending you clothes to uni! But you won't have to wear them!
Very true. But h2g2 is a shining example of what the world could be like, if you ignore the odd argument.
Excellent! I hope you enjoy it! Give me a report on how you thought it was!
Oh great! Thinking up contrasting arguments!
Thanks! you enjoy your camping trip, if I don't see you before then. I'll send you one letter from Paris and two from Italy, if time serves.
Oh I'm sorry about that. I hope you enjoyed the shooting itself though.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Jul 25, 2001
Huh? Someone talking to me? Go away, I'm trying to get to sleep here...
Yep. Stoopid motherboard...
I know! I thought of it!
Oh. Um. Why?
I'll send 'em back if she does. Either that or see if I can sell them..
Yes it is! It's a brilliant place, which may be why we're still here after a year...
OK then. I'll try to anyway...
Oh yes! That's good! It means that I can sort out things by looking at both sides, so the probability is that once I've reached a conclusion, it's the right one.
I will attempt to enjoy it yes! I probably shall, unless people insist that I have to be with the DFs not the Venturers. Those are age groups in Woodcraft, and I ought to be moving into DFs, but none of them like me, so I want to stay with the Venturers. They should let me.
If they don't I shall complain very loudly, and no doubt the DFs will as well.
I did yes. I was made to shoot three cards, instead of just two, although I had to do it a lot faster than I normally do.
Apparantly I take too long.

Chris Tonks Posted Jul 25, 2001
Oh, sorry. I'll leave you to fail Ming then.
Daft thing. Doesn't it know you're trying to make it a better machine?
There is of course that factor, yes.
Well, I like waiting. It's fun. Quite.
Yes! Make a profit out of your mum's folly!
Indeed so, yes. Those doomsayers can;t talk, not with people like us still here after ages!
Good good!
A good way of thinking, that.
Yeah, complain loudly! All the way over the channel so I can hear you.
Well, the idea is to go bangbangbang, not bang...bang...bang.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Jul 25, 2001
*sleepy grunt*
Good!
Evidently not. Or it's just too thick to realise that.
OK then.
Heh heh... yeah, I will. If she does.
That's right! And with people still here who have been here for two years!
Erm... I think this topis may have just been exhausted...
Why thank you.
LOL! Well, I'll try. I could just complain in a letter though...
With a single-shot rifle?

Chris Tonks Posted Aug 10, 2001
Yikes! My memeory isn't too good right now either: I'm typing this mere minutes before I go off to Italy!
Computer's are always thick. Stupid machines.
OK, I'll admit it: I hate waiting! BUt I'm mad, so I'm sure I can be excused.
Hmm... start planning what you'll do with the money.
Good point! I'd love to see the doomsayers get round that one!
Very well... *gives up*
You're wlecome!
You could... but I now know you didn't.
Erm.... yes!
*Finally leaves for Italy. Letters to follow.*
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Aug 24, 2001
Ahh, who needs memories anyway??
Fine! I'll just forget everything then shall I?
That's true. Stupid things.
Yes, I'm sure you can.
Errr... either spend it or save it I think...
So would I! If only to see their logic...
Yay!
Yeah, I was surprised. Very surprised. And also pleased, of course.
OK then...
So how was Italy then?
¦M¦
Morning!
Chris Tonks Posted Aug 26, 2001
Uh-oh!
*Makes a copy of Ming's memory (sans rudeness), and stores it in case Ming's memory does indeed decide to forget everything.*
Dratted, stupid, pathetic little... *Notices he's typing this over a special S-Internet connection through the great Space Station Computer, and shuts up.*
Well that's alright then. Had me worried for a moment!
Hmm, those are indeed two possibilities. Some refining of your plans could be in order though.
Logic? What logic? The thing behind their arguments is that there isn't any logic!
Whoop-de-doo!
Well naturally. I was surprised you didn't feel like shouting in the letter, but again, as you so rightly pointed out, pleased.
Never forget the motto!
It was really hoopy! Well, you know part of it from a letter (which you should have recieved by now), but I'll talk to you about it in detail on the messenger.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Aug 26, 2001
Oh thank you.
Well really! Like I would have forgotten everything just like that! Honestly, some people just can't take a joke, and I really don't like your attitude...!
*jealous*
Oh, I'm sorry.
Refining?? What could I possibly need to refine? Spend it or save it, what more do you want?
Aha! Good point!
Woohoo!!
I'm glad you agree with me!
Oh yes.
Yay!! Glad you enjoyed it!

Chris Tonks Posted Aug 26, 2001
Would you like me to wipe your memory for you, Ming, and have this politer version put in to replace it?
Don't be! I've got my Watch to deal with too! Now he /is/ a mess!
That's quite alright.
I'll have to think about that one...
Oh, I've got lots of good points up my sleeve.
Excellent Smithers!
I agree with most things you say...
Deary me... your memory's having its quiet revenge.
Cheers! You would have loved the hills!
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Aug 26, 2001
You know, that's not a bad idea... In fact, quite a good one.
Go ahead.
Oh yeah... Good luck with him!
Oh good.
LOL! See what you can come up with...
You do? You probably shouldn't keep them up your sleeve, don't they prick a bit?
EXXCELLENT!! *rubs hands*
Hmmm... you do appear to...
Ack! It is isn't it! Replace the little blighter! Pleease!!
I like these hills. It just freaks me out a bit when I'm not surrounded by hills...
¦M¦
Morning!
Chris Tonks Posted Aug 27, 2001
Ok then... *rubs hands in glee...*
*He fiddles around with his Watch, wiping the bad personality traits of Ming's copied memory. He then wipes Ming's current memory, leaving her looking a bit silly. He then quickly introduces the edited memory into her head.*
Thar ye go!
Cheers. I think I'll need it.
Absolutely!
*Can see the usual series of words that precede the end to a topic, and decides to close this one early. *
I'll certainly have a stab at it!
Ah-hah! So it wasn't just a bad washing powder that was doing it!
*Cue evil laughs. *
And so do you!
Have done.
*Expects her not to have noticed this in fact.*
I went mad while I was in Nottingham. No water, you see. In Switzerland we had this great big lake in front of us, but nothing in Notts.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Aug 27, 2001
Oh, you've done it? Thanks!
That's OK.
Tell me if you actually get a result then!
I'm allergic to biological washing powder...
*evil laugh*
I don't necessarily agree with what I say...
Oh, thank you!
I don't blame you...
*grins*
Cos you couldn't pretend you were a slice of lemon and jump in and out of a lake that thinks it's a gin and tonic...?
¦M¦

Chris Tonks Posted Aug 27, 2001
No problems!
Any other problems with your mind you want sorting out?
I knew you'd be on my side in this.
I shall indeed! I think I might just have one for next post too.
Hmm, that's curious. But not one of the oddest things to be allergic to, I suppose. After all, enzymes do have effects on a lot of things.
Bwuahahahahah!!
Well, then again, neither do I with myself.
In fact, I'm thinking of writing a book called something like 'Contradicting Thoughts', in which I write down all the little theories and ideas I invent every day. I've noticed that I always contradict what I previously might have thought.
You're welcome! Anytime!
That was probably one of my reasons, yes! Especially since it was in Nottingham that I was fist handed the Hitch Hiker books to read!
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Aug 27, 2001
Probably, but I don't know what they are!
*grins* Well, why shouldn't I be?
Woohoo!! *looks forward to his next post*
And it does get slightly weirder - we think it's genetic because both my father and his father are allergic to it too.
Heh heh heh...
That would grow into rather a large book fairly quickly wouldn't it?
Er- Woohoo!!
LOL! I think we may have found one of the main reasons for it...
¦M¦
Morning!
Chris Tonks Posted Aug 28, 2001
Ah-hah! There's one of the problems now!
Good point. Er, I mean, good argument. I'm the one with the good points.
OK then, here's a good one: you can either spend the money, save it, or... give it away! Preferably to me.
Do genetically inherited allergies exist? Hmm, I'll have to research this one. Most interesting.
Nyeheheheheh!
It would indeed! And maybe become one of the most controversial writings of all time! Wahey!
Yeah, you should be pleased.
Possibly, possibly. But then again, I am of course mad enough to jump in and out of lakes in the guise of a lemon anyway.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Aug 28, 2001
Yes, can you do anything about that?
Why can't I have good points too? Or would having both good points and good arguments be greedy?
Giving it away is just spending it on someone else.
I don't know, but vulnerability or susceptibility to something could easily be genetically inherited...
*evil cackle - she ran out of evil laughs... *
*huge grin* Unless I was to do the same thing...
I am. I think...
Lakes?? What happened to the gin and tonic??
