Well, look at the tumbleweed go! I've never seen such a gathering of it on my page before!

But that's because I've been away for over a year and a half. And in all that time things haven't changed much except that I have far less money, and am only a year into the degree I'm hoping to get to justify the scarlet hue of my bank balance...
So, apart from money problems, I've been mainly shooting. That's about it, really.

And onto more important matters - Goo still exists! smiley - biggrin Logging in and seeing Goo greeting me was almost like coming home! smiley - wow
*loves Goo*
(For everyone who doesn't know what Goo is - look in your Preferences, under Skin, there is Classic Goo. Use it. Cherish it. Treasure it. It is the one true skin, the original, it is the pure H2G2 experience.)
And then, some people who I used to know, also still exist, and also still post. smiley - biggrin Amazing.
And I see Ottox is still lurking. Good for him. smiley - biggrin Hi Ottox, I know you're reading this! smiley - winkeye

And, well, basically hi everyone! I'm back! Well, I'm back for today at least, no guarantees whatsoever for the future. Well, I mean, I'm sure I'll actually press the 'Store Journal' button, and also log off, but after that... who knows?

Taking a clock down can be a ceremony...

...if it is the exam clock and it is taken down at the end of the last exam. smiley - biggrin I was there! I finished all my exams! smiley - biggrin YAY!! smiley - wow
(And I might possibly hold the joint school record for the greatest number of A-level exams sat in one season! (17))

Well, now I'm going to shoot a lot and do a lot of stuff I should have been doing whilst my exams were happening... (Like doing something about the mud rusting the wheel arches of the car I now own (smiley - biggrin), and tidying my room ready for uni, and working out how I'm going to both eat and shoot at uni, and practicing for playing flute in Les Miserables (School Edition) (apparently if we don't put the 'School Edition' bit in, the lawyers get upset and start bringing law suits and demanding money), weeding the garden, tidying the rest of the house, holidaying with friends, attempting to organise said friends into holiday, and some others into shooting, and some others into another holiday,m and shooting. And probably quite a lot of other stuff I've forgotten about. This may well be the longest holiday I get, so I'm damn well going to enjoy it and have a nervous breakdown about money later.) So I'm still not going to be online much... sorry. smiley - erm

I hate Carphone Warehouse

I hate Carphone Warehouse, because if I'd bought a contract phone from them instead of a 'pay as you go' (which I did buy) I could now be facing allegations of fraud, all because of a mistake that they made, and have apparently failed to correct, even after I phoned them and asked them to correct it.
smiley - grr

Advice?

My youngest sister is 14 years old, and she's admitted to a 17-year-old guy she fancies him. She doesn't have a mobile, and because the said guy was going to have to go away for a few months, he said he would give her money to buy a phone so they could still talk to each other. All very sweet. She didn't take him up on the offer, and it's since turned out that he can't go away yet, he's now got to wait until the summer. But my other sister has bought a phone, and now my youngest sister is borrowing it to send and receive a few texts with this guy every night. Tonight is the second or third night they've been doing this (mobile was only very recently acquired) and he's.. well... what he wrote does not belong here and should be moderated if it were, but what he was suggesting is illegal for another two years. I've talked to my sister about this, and apparently he's been making lewd comments to her for several weeks now. She says she's asked him not to and told him that she isn't going to do anything about her fancying him. She's also told me that he is far stronger than she is, and as they only see each other at ATC - Air Training Corps - which is often spent wandering around a woodland or open grassland in the dark... I dunno... I guess just reassurance that he won't do any either would be nice, but I've learnt not to trust reassurance...
