No, that's fine, really... Snowstorms of conversation links do tend to bury others that aren't particularly active...
Yeah, it is...
Well, you probably never wanted your ears pierced... And as I did loads at one point and had friends with piierced ears, I listened in PSE (Personal and Social Education) when we were taught about our rights as children. And that included the piercing of ears...
Yep, so am I, and we've only got to get 1 more supporter!!!!!

Looks like I missed out on it all when I was away for 2 weeks Oh well, Are you planning a party for your Bubblewrap campaign?
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jun 10, 2000
You just have to advertise it a little...
Still, as I seem to support a lot of what you do, could you support something I'm doing too? Please?

It's simple. You probably know I've got a Beach at:
http://www.h2g2.com/A208676
well, it has(had) a Waterworks attached to it, including fountain, sewer, lifeguards, swimming pool etc - and today I am seperating them all into different articles - as I was asked by Peta.
I'm just hoping some people will tag along and join in, so would you be willing to hang around a few different places, such as
http://www.h2g2.com/A358850 The Lifeguard Hut
http://www.h2g2.com/A358832 The River
http://www.h2g2.com/A358823 H2G2 Waterworks: The Swimming Pool
http://www.h2g2.com/A358814 H2G2 Waterworks: The Sewers
http://www.h2g2.com/A358805 H2G2 Waterworks: The Fountain
Especially the Swimming Pool and Fountain, until they get popular. Nothing worse than starting off something and no-one goes there as they don't know of it. You don't have to by all means, and you do not have to go to them all, but if you did, I'd be grateful.
Thanks
I promise I'll always look at any article you ask me to in return!
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jun 10, 2000
I hope so - but it looks like the Pool is doing quite well already, especially as Eomando's there too. But I'm very pleased and grateful for your effort in hanging around. I hope you're doing it 'cos you like it there too, and not just because I asked you to give it a try.
Okay, okay...

Hello Ming. It's the guy whose page you visited and welcome-messaged at. Researcher 345105 or so. A newbie. Thankyou for dropping by. If you have any good advice to give me, please be assured I will listen to heem.
I read the saga of the medium sized brown envelope, and it made perfect sense to me. Because it's 4:49am and I haven't slept since 6am. It also seemed like a rather tragic story. The poor brown envelope. And, for that matter, the poor world which was deprived of what seemed at first to be a very benevolent God. Is that what always happens to Gods? Serves them right for picking the forms of medium sized brown envelopes, I s'pose, as opposed to the more traditional giant, flowing robes and beard kind of thing. Much more defensible, to my mind. Although I've never really seen any brown envelope kung fu, so it may well be really devastating.
I'll stop being silly and go to bed. However, I'll be back... Read you later...

Ming Mang Posted Jun 10, 2000
That's OK, BB! And I do like it there, but then I like most things that h2g2 throws at me... so far...
Hello 135405! That's OK! I hope you find h2g2 a good place to be!
Advice? OK, errr... just generally enjoy yourself!
You read it?? Wow! I didn't think anyone did! Thank you!! Yes, I quite agree, Gods shouldn't go picking medium-sized brown envelopes as a good form to take on in this particular world... although they could blend in so much better as a medium-sized brown envelope than as somebody with flowing robes and a beard. Especially if they're female...
Well, hope you get some sleep!

Thanks Ming, I hoped you would like it there, you seem to be fitting in perfectly.
And Hello 135405! Nice easy number to remember, that one.

Ming Mang Posted Jun 11, 2000
*grins*
Yes, I like it there...
Hmmmmm... I can't decide if your name has grown or shrunk since last time... It's difficult to work out... What do you think?
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jun 12, 2000
I think it's shrunk - the bit about internet banking and the new smileys took up a lot of room.
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jun 13, 2000
I agree it's strange, but nothing really wrong with it, is there?
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Jun 13, 2000
No, you're right, I'm agreeing with you again, there's nothing really wrong with it...
Oh, on the Beach, would you mind if I set up a Sweet Stall? H2G2S2? As I have a Sweet Shop (also H2G2S2!!) and a stall would be 'good for business'?? Please? (The Shop is at http://www.h2g2.com/A362882 )
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jun 15, 2000
No, I don't mind if you set up a sweet stall on the Beach at all, it would be quite welcome. If you think you can compete against the popular doughnut stall! I suggested to PP that somewhere without a doughnut stall, ie the Fountain (there's a link off the beach page) might be better, but if you'd like to go to the Beach, that's fine.
