Well, he was kind enough to stop by two of my Campaigns and voice his opion that whatever everyone else was supporting he would too in hope that they'd vote for him. (And he also went on to say that if someone didn't support them he didn't either...) And he was also kind enough to put my fictional efforts on the Fiction page... and drop by my forum to tell me he'd put them on as soon as he got control of the page - which as I said, he did.
And no one else running for the Presidential post has even spoken to me... so I'm supporting him...
Yes. It makes some of them show off, some hide behind things like hair but make sure they're noticed in a sort of false embarrassment, and others retire to a corner and try not to be noticed.
So. It's quite fun wielding a camcorder. But when you're being filmed doing something serious like a horse show or a play or a concert it is incredibly off-putting.
That was quite a long post really, wasn't it? For this conversation, anyway...
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jul 18, 2000
For this conversation, a real marathon of a post. I've always wanted to have a cam-corder to point at people, but alas... I don't think anyone's pointed a cam-corder at me, either. My life is very cam-corderless.
I've spoken to you - and I am a Vice Presidential Candidate, if that counts - but as I am working with Peregrin, then that's okay. So, do you have any campaigns that I haven't been along to? If you have, me visiting is the least I can do after your help with the waterworks.
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Jul 18, 2000
*grins*
Yes, it was, wasn't it?
Oh! You poor person! I'd offer to point one at you, but currently it's hidden away somewhere... but I ~do~ have this cine camera - even if it doesn't have a film in... Would you like to pretend it does?
Yes, actually, there is one. It's a bit odd, though... I'm not sure about my feeling, but Peregrin seems to approve thoroughly... it's an Anti-Ironing of Clothes Campaign, but I'm afraid I don't have a link handy... it'll be on my page in the listed in the Guide Entries bit. As I'm sure you guessed...

*Gets ready to have cine-camera pointed at him*
For what it's worth - I never iron my clothes.
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Jul 27, 2000
Maybe you'd like to pop over and mention that at some point in time...?
*points cine-camera at BB and waits to see what he does*

Ming Mang Posted Jul 28, 2000
Yeah, I know! Thank you! I'm sorry I didn't know, but I was here first...
D'OH!!
Well...
I've actually been doing some work.
Geography coursework.
I had to do my Geography coursework else my teacher was refusing to enter me. And then my dad would have killed me...
So. That's what I've been doing.
Til Wednesday, when it was the end of term, last day at school, etc. etc. Then I went hyper. I also went to the orthodontist's, who told me that I never had to wear a brace again! Then I went REALLY hyper, e-mailed everyone I knew and came on H2G2 for ages.
What have you been doing?
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jul 28, 2000
Hi Ming - so, you're off on an election campaign on your own, I'm told...
Congrats on not having to be braced again What have I been doing? Hmm... Are you sure you haven't confused me with someone else? I never do anything. I want to see Portchester castle, but we haven't had the weather.
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Jul 30, 2000
Yep, that's right. I'm running as Vice to Insane Endeavor. I'm still voting for Peregrin though...
Yes, I felt pretty happy, too.
Umm, might have done, actually... Portchester castle, huh? You'll have to tell me about it when you've been. Yeah, the weather has been a bit yukky, hasn't it?! Today it's nice, though. Where I am anyway...
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Jul 31, 2000
Well, I don't know if we're likely to go. I'd like to go with both Tim & Ian (Roasted Amoeba & Peregrin) but it's hard to get them organised to do something, and get Ian out of bed in time to go there and back. It's also hard as we need the right weather, too.
I still hope to go soon, within a week or two, hopefully.
The weather here's been about the same, not that good - but I hope it'll improve. So, have you been doing anything?
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Jul 31, 2000
*grins*
I sympathise with Peregrin. I hate getting out of bed...
Well, Good Luck!! I hope you do manage to go.
Doing anything? Trying to fool Dad into thinking I'm doing homework. And playing with the ducklings. Otherwise - nope. You?
Oh- next week (6-12 August) I shall not be around, owing to the fact that I am camping with Jenny and other people somewhere in this county (West Sussex). So, thats when NOT to come to Sussex, owing to foul weather. ()

Bluebottle Posted Jul 31, 2000
I'm hoping to go on Wednesday if the weather stays well - I'll let you know if I do.
Have fun camping - I've camped in Sussex around Bexhill twice, it was okay, quite fun. But I know what you mean about the weather - it *always* rains when I'm camping.
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Aug 2, 2000
Well, today's Wednesday, is it this Wednesday you mean or a different one?
OK. So my Dad has now banned me from h2g2 because I'm supposed to spend every waking moment doing coursework. So for once I'm getting up early to go online when no one knows I'm up... I got up this morning at 4... *groans* and very soon I'm going back to sleep - I hope.
We'll try to have fun! If it stops raining! Once when I went camping we were having some quite nice weather for a change. The person I was sharing tent with insisted that we slept with the bottom part of the entrance zip undone (triangle tent, not a new-fangled dome tent). That night it rained. Really hard. That night I went to sleep. In the morning I woke up half out of the tent with the bottom half of me soaking... I think it was the only time it rained that time. (surprised faints at the news that it didn't rain all the time)
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Aug 2, 2000
Yes, the Wednesday I meant was today, but no, I didn't go. One day. The trouble is both Tim & Ian claim they want to go - so I'd feel guilty if I went without them - yet they don't seem to want to be organised into going.
I'm sorry about the coursework - let me know when you return to h2g2.
I've done that - fallen out of a tent when it's rained. Except this was a 12 man tent, and we were camping on a hill. I slid downhill, under the tent and outside. It was very unpleasant as I woke up all bunched up in a knot and cold. I couldn't move - I was that cold.
But I'm sure you'll have fun this time.
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Aug 2, 2000
Oh dear... Well, as I said, good luck! Live in hope!
Errrrr... I expect I'll be allowed back after my GCSE's. That's June next year... meanwhile I'll be being naughty and coming on anyway.
Ooohhhhhhhhhhh... *shudders*
*hell of a lot of sympathy*
*even more sympathy*
Ahh, I'm not so sure. The weather turned nasty today. And it's probably going to stay that way...
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Aug 2, 2000
Well, you naughty person - I'll look forward to seeing you on h2g2, even if it is not as regular as it once was. It's really annoying that - having your time limited. I'll miss ya.
Do you know if the weather'll improve?
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Aug 21, 2000
*looks not-guilty-at-all but feels she should look guilty and tries*
Yeah... it certainly won't be very regular at all... and even if I do manage to get on when term starts, I'm now only allowed 20 minutes a day. So that will be great in the evenings in prime time... so I expect I shall be using that to work on some other websites and persuading geocities to let my page there work... and continueing to get up early for H2G2. So I won't be on much...
You'll miss me? That's the first time anyone's ever said that to me and may actually have meant it! *sniff* Wow!
Actually, it did! And then it got bad again for a few days - our porch was actually raining itself - and then it got really nice again! We were pleasantly surprised!
Hope you're having fun whatever you're doing and you'll get to the castle eventually!
Oh, and Good Luck in the voting! And did I tell you that I really liked your pic in the Rogues Gallery? 'Cos I do...
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Aug 21, 2000
I will most definately 100% miss you from h2g2 And yes, I mean it. Okay, I'll still h2g2 and maybe even make new h2g2 friends, but I still miss the h2g2 friends I've had that have gone away - RandomDNA, Helena, Jinx and many others - I miss them and think of them now and then, and I'll miss you too. So make sure you H2G2 now and then, and my e-mail address is:
[email protected] should you wish to e-mail me at all...
I still haven't gone to the castle - I think I should just go myself and not wait for the others. Especially now you're right that the weather is better.
Please keep in touch!
<BB<
Okay, okay...
Ming Mang Posted Aug 27, 2000
You'll really miss me?? Oh wow!
*getting all sentimental*
I'll miss all of you if I don't manage to get on...
I'm allowed to e-mail people, though, so I'll be able to keep in touch that way - more regular than I'll be on H2G2 but not necessarily that regular. It just depends on what mood Dad's in when I ask him... I have to be careful and pick the right time... usually when he's got a mug of tea...
But I'll be back at least once a month to try and keep up...
*sniff*
This is depressing...
Yes, you should - except now the weather's got bad again... I wish you good luck and good weather, tell me when you've been!
I will...
- keep smiling!
¦M¦
Okay, okay...
Bluebottle Posted Aug 27, 2000
I definately will tell you when/if I go.
I will miss you - but I expect e-mails, okay???
Have you tried pouring your Dad lots of tea? That worked for me. Always put my step-dad in a good mood.
