Yes, I know! I have to explain all that every time I mention shooting and everyone says something like that!
No, I haven't, although when I was still tetrathlon-ing, we started looking for local clubs so I could get some practise. However, we didn't get very far... But I've been thinking of starting riding again, and so starting tetrathlon-ing again. Only it involves actually bothering to get fit, as I'll have moved up an age group so I'll have to run 2km and swim for 3 minutes. Which, when you're racing and swimming as hard as you can, is very difficult to get a decent score. And I will have to shoot from 10m instead of 7m, which I've been used to. And the jumps for the riding will have gone up from 3 feet high to 3 foot 3. Do you think I should start trying to get fit?

Good Luck!!! smiley - smiley
Work hard work hard work hard work hard! (smiley - winkeye) The same applies to me - Year 11, I have to start actually doing homework and coursework, so if we nag each other maybe we'll do the work... smiley - smiley
*proud* I did quite a lot today...

I walked aimlessly over the Downs yesterday with 5 of my friends and we ended up at Tesco's again. We always seem to end up at Tesco's when we go out walking over the Downs. And we always seem to get there at lunch-time...
And after we got back I went skiing on Sandown dry ski slope with Jenny and the rest of our 'youth group'. And now I'm quite stiff...
It was my second time skiing, and I only fell over once. Which was nice. Have you been dry-slope skiing? Or even skiing on snow?
(that was my attempt at more conversation... smiley - winkeye)

I'm afraid the whole not-doing-homework thing has blown up again, so I may not be able to get online as much as I was managing last week... smiley - sadface
So I'll speak to you whenever I can...

Trying to get fit is often a good idea, but for people like me normally involves too much effort smiley - winkeye But I'm sure you'd soon get used to the harder bit, although at first I expect you'll be a bit off.. Just don't let it discourage you. Alas, age comes to us all. smiley - sadface

I hope you had good weather whilst walking on the downs - not like today when it was soaking wet! I'm curious about this Sandown Ski Slope. I live in Sandown, Isle of Wight, and I can tell you there is DEFINATELY no ski-slope there smiley - tongueout. And no, I've never ski. I don't even know how to spell ski-id. Is skied, ski-id or skid? None look right.... So dry or wet, I've never had any skis on my feet in my life. smiley - sadface

I hope we'll still be able to chat away, but yes, working hard is important.
Talk to ya later!

Far too much effort... but I want to do it. I think. And then theres two of my friends who are of the opinion that all sport (except walking) is wrong and shouldn't be done. Hell... smiley - sadface

No, not Sandown in the Isle of Wight. I've never heard of Sandown in the Isle of Wight. The Sandown where there is a ski slope is just south of London somewhere. There's also Sandown Racecourse there. I've been skiing twice now. And I recommend that if you want to keep your legs you never try it. It really really hurts because the ski boots are designed to keep your legs bent, so standing up for ages in a group of beginners is very painful. You cannot straighten your legs.
Skiid or skied I think. Dunno.

Well, working is all very well, but when you've got an obsessive parent nagging you all the time you are inclined to just stop doing it and yell back. And then the obsessive parent yells back again and eventually you're sulking in your room and no work has got done. Again.
So I'm thinking of leaving home when I turn 16. But I have no job and currently no chance of getting one... life is currently s**t.
I'm sorry, I'm going on and on and I shouldn't be depressed to much...

I hope you're working hard hard hard!! smiley - winkeyesmiley - winkeye

Well, you may as well give it a go, and see if it is as fun as it was when you did it last. If it is, carry on, if not, don't. Just do what you enjoy. smiley - smiley

I've heard of Sandown racecourse, but Sandown, Isle of Wight, is my home town. It's quite a nice place, you'll have to go there sometime. There's a 5 mile stretch of golden beaches - pure sand, no stones - and is just a great place to be in the summer. But I may try skiing one day, but if I do, I'll try and avoid standing up. Skiing lying down seems a better idea to me...

I currently am working hard hard hard - but on a part-time job I've got in the last week. It means I'm tired out with everything else I do. smiley - sadface I've got to work tonight too 5pm - 1am. Far too long.

Well, I've got a lecture now, so I'll write more soon,

Brilliant advice! You should be a councillor or something... smiley - smiley

Wow! *makes large, obvious mental note to visit Sandown, Isle of Wight, for a long long time* I thought Lancing beach was good (very few stones once the tide's gone out far enough) and Goring was the best you'd get in or near Britain (even less stones). smiley - winkeye *makes sure mental note is flashing in various flourencent colours and emitting large amounts of light and various objects*
Yes, skiing lying down sound like a good idea. I wonder if anyone's invented skis you can lie down on...

Ah. That's not so good.
What's the job?

And if I'm going to quickdot with you, you're going to find out my surname. Which means that you're going to have to promise not to do anything remotely evil with it... or anything else except for know it. OK?

And I hope you enjoyed the lecture - or at least learnt something from it... smiley - winkeye

How many 15 year olds can there be in one place? In the last few days, cruising around h2g2, I've found millions of them! BTW, I'm 15 too.

BB isn't 15. Come to think of it, I don't how old you are, BB! (hint hint)
But if you want to find more 15-year-olds, follow some of the conversations I'm in. smiley - smiley

Hello Clelba & Ming! smiley - smiley
I've been 15 for 5 years now, so I think I'm a very experienced 15. I'm coming up to having been 15 for 6 years in January. smiley - smiley
Most of the beaches on the East side of Britain are, frankly, rubbish. Brighton, Hastings, Worthing., Bexhill, Eastbourne - all along the south coast you get stones, stones, stones. The western coast, such as Swanage is much better - but the Isle of Wight beaches are best of all. smiley - smiley

As for doing something evil with your surname - I've no intention to. I'm far too nice, and also I'm lazy. What evil thing can you do with a surname? But if you prefer, you don't have do quickdot with me, or you could change your name in quickdot - but I promise you I will not do anything evil with your last name, ever. Or do anything else with it.

Is that okay?

You got stuck mentally at 15 then! I haven't yet got stuck, but I'm definately not older than 14. So thats just odd... as I'm 15... (nearly 16...)
Remind me to give you some virtual present at the appropriate time in January! smiley - winkeyesmiley - smiley

Yes. They are rubbish. Literally, too. I must move onto the Isle of Wight eventually... smiley - smileysmiley - smileysmiley - smiley

*grins* I have no idea what evil things people can do with other people's surname. But then I haven't bothered to think about it... I also am lazy... smiley - winkeye
Oh good. smiley - smiley
I'll go and do something about it soon... smiley - winkeye and I might just change my name over quickdot.

I never knew that about your Aunt - does she like Worthing?

And Ming - I honestly think that I've been 8 for about 12 years now. I like being 8, it's a lot more fun than being as old as I am.
I'm glad to see you quickdotting.
See ya!
