Men are to more likely to smoke than women, and to die in their sixties. And, yes, Covid-19 kills them in greater numbers, especially in the over-60 demographic.

I was reading somewhere that it's not so much the smoking as the testicles that make the difference...

...or the X chromosome, which got its evolutionary start as chromosome fragment, then differentiated to produce a male with mammals and a female with birds.

Men have also been known to drink more alcohol than women do.

But I'm not sure this is still true. Not everywhere. A recent survey seemed to suggest that young women in particular smoke more than the average person here. (It furthermore suggests they do it to control their weight - and because they are now addicted ... Some (like Keith Richards) say it's harder to fight addiction to cigarettes than heroin.)

In Denmark, there are now over 100,000 people who have been tested for coronavirus. Of these, 7695 are found infected

From now on significantly more will be tested in Denmark:
- People with mild symptoms.
- People who are expected to be hospitalized for more than 24 hours.
- Patients in outpatient care who are going to have performed procedures that are considered to pose a particular risk.
- Residents and staff of institutions where a coronavirus has been detected in a citizen or staff. For example, in residences or care centers.

Work is under way to test people who have been in close contact with a person who has been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus.

In the future, the goal is also that staff groups working with vulnerable citizens or patients can be tested regularly.

People are still not allowed to gather more than 10 at any given time. Indoors as well as outdoors. This is preliminary valid until 10 May. Later that figure will be raised to 500, but no one knows yet when. Could be in twelve months from now ...

I'm not sure what thy would do to a family with two parents and nine children. Are hey saying that the eleven family members could not eat together at dinner?

People who already lived together in large groups when this started - like collectives for instance - are of course excepted from this rule

In a collective, I guess it's customary to share everything.

Maybe a factor is also testicles...Women don't have spermatogonia cells.

That's interesting, though,. because in Massachusetts more women have gotten the virus than men.

And the demographic most likely to die from the virus is those 80 and up, where women outnumber men.

Significantly more women than men have been infected here. But then there are significantly more women than men being tested, because there are so many more women than men working as nurses or other health care persons.

These numbers will soon change as now a lot more people will be tested here.

More women over 80-90 years die because men of that age have already died of other things.
