So I take it they put out a different brew every year? label!
It's very tasty! But...what I can't work out is...if you guys drink this stuff...how do you manage to stay on your bicycles?

re 22: ah, yes, wiibroe's årgangsøl (vintage lager). a very elegant and classy beer from helsingør (known to the rest of the universe as elsinore). there were times when at least some of the production was actually stored in the basements of elsinore castle. you know, where shakespeare's play 'hamlet' took place.
hamlet did not drink wiibroe, though, the brewery was not founded until some time between 1800 and 1840
the label of every vintage is decorated by a recognized and established artist
as for the content: yes, surely not for the fainthearted, but the taste is usually great
thanks, by the way, for making me research this, because along the way i learned that wiibroe is going to re-introduce its famous 'imperial stout'. for some odd reason they stopped brewing it in 2002 and some of us have been missing it dearly ever since

And of course, there's Ogden Nash on seducing women:

Nancy Astor: Mr. Churchill, you are drunk! You are very drunk!
Winston Churchill: Mrs. Astor, you are ugly. You are very ugly!
However, tomorrow I will be sober.

Dear Paul H.,
Thank goodness for that quote. It is one that I love - I had forgotten 0 and thank you for reminding me of it.
There is a song - I think it is called
Beer, Beer, glorious Beet.
Or is it
Drink, drink, glorious drink,
I cannot remember the words.
I think that all the contributors to Beer should start a beer making brewery. !!
~go well,

Paul H:
It wasn't Nancy Astor, it was Bessie Braddock, 'The Docker's MP'. And to be brutally frank...Winnie had a point:

Well well! If I play my cards right, I may have an opportunity to sample the 2009 årgangsøl the week after next, during a quick swing through Copenhagen (and a short metro ride to Christianshavn. )
Could the one AlsoRan's thinking of be 'Drink!' from 'The Student Prince'?
Drink! Drink! Drink! To eyes that are bright as stars when they're shining on me...

Nothing's quite like it for cooling the blood....
Is it my imagination, or does the ship seem colder all of a sudden?
