still watching football?

I haven't watched any football yet (in my life, I mean), and I don't intend to start now.

(btw, it looks as if the Lip Reading entry will be the first entry on the front page tomorrow)

I haven't been watching at all. The result was no surprise though.Not a fan as you can probably tell! I shall know if people are still watching when the next match comes on and my internet goes down. It has for every match so far

No, but there was meant to be. But one team didn't turn up.



Don't worry 2legs only a couple of more weeks to go now, and it should all be much more normal now in any case. You like normal yes?

Apparently I was traumatised as a baby when my dad, my uncle and my grandfather all stood up and roared/cheered at the television when Stoke scored a goal. I was lying on the hearth rug at the time - and never stopped crying with fright for hours....

Even now the sound of the football crowds spooks me

pps she has started to read the Front Page articles herself now - I am trying to get her to sign up - she will be 80 this year, but she has more friends on her Facebook page than I do

The game you call football is not like the game we Americans call football. Just to be safe, I stay away from *both* types.

They're both effectively identicle... . big stretch of grass, lots of men divided into two teams, running about after a ball...

'Normal' hmmm.... no not sure I like 'normal' at all spent yesterday involved in various non-'normal' activities

I'm not such a fan of the running bit.... Its more the end result I have interest in...

. . .honestly - I go and watch two episodes of 'Murder - Who Did It' - and 'Some More Murder' Total body count 8. What do I find when I come back?

Which is worse? Murder is not generally a good thing either.

Oh it's a sort of fantasy murder paul - I mean 8 bodies, in two and a half hours -C'mon! A good old fashioned murder mystery had one body and a dozen suspects. Now, we can tell who the murderer is because he is usually the only one left standing at the end of the programme.

I blame the development of fake blood and good special effects - the director doesn't want to waste their talents.

8 bodies in two and a half hours?! sounds like an ideal weekend to me

Don't ever combine fake blood with Jack Nicholson. He played a mobster in "The Departed," and he hammed up his death scene like crazy. The fake blood only intensified the cheesiness of it.

Yes. I want to see Argentina get stuffed the way England were yesterday.

Today I'll be supporting the last Brit in the so something to cheer

I'd be happy to watch this gorgeous chap for hours and hours!
