Maybe there was someone in the U.K. who came down to lanzababy's island just as she was going to the UK.

Good morning everyone - it didn't snow here then! Yay! I slept like a log - in fact like two logs.
I've got to get up, get some coffee and find out what stage the Christmas planning, buying and food consumption is at. The house seems to be full(er) of bottles of booze than when I left.

Didn't sleep well last night yet again even though it was pretty quiet outside all night its cold here... not sure as yet weather the weather has given us snow or not...

Gosh it's grey outside. Really, really grey, drippy sort of rain and grey, grey clouds from one horizon to another. Quite cosy and warm though - I've unpacked all the suitcase of and other goodies.
I think I am looking forward to Christmas now I'm here. I need to buy a present for adorable sister who is allergic to many types of food and drink and who works in a high end department store, so can buy herself what she likes, with whacking discount. Every year I struggle, as she buys me the most fabulous things, so thoughtfully chosen. I need a Christmas to help me out here. I've run out of time. Or an Maybe she would like an Can you still get them this time of year. Perhaps I should have ordered one earlier?

I've not done a single bit of Christmas shopping yet... I've not even bought a single Christmas card
and I'm no use whatsoever when it comes to advice on buying presents, there is only one female I buy a present for, my Dads GF, and I'm always hopeless at knowing waht to get asides that its only really my Brother and Father I get a present for... Brother is easy, as he's perpetually skint I just give him the cash... Dads tricky though and it useually ends up being just getting him a bottle of spirits... which is kinda stupid because the house is full of the stuff this time of year anyhows Must try and get into town soon as I get back, so I can pick up a USB WiFi dongle for the netbook, then at least I'll have some internet access for the next couple of weeks (yes I was ment* to get one before I went back but left it too late to order it online and* get it delivered to me before I have to travel off )

Hmmm, thanks Taff! outside indeed, But now I must decide what to wear, I've been dressed in fleecy dressing gown, and night gear so far. Maybe some day clothes would be more sensible.
2legs, you may have solved the problem there for me. My sis spends a fair bit of time on-line. Maybe I could get her some shiny new mouse or glittery memory sticks, or such. I'll pop into one of those computer stores and poke about. Maybe..oh, better not say anymore, in case she pops in for a quick

maybe a wireless optical mouse if she's not got one; and if she has* a netbook or laptop that might be a useful one Or... how about a USB rocket launcher? (silly USB toys might be good then?)

its great
OK... basically it plugs into the USB port on a PC... and its a little rocket launcher that sits on your desk... you can aim it up by using your PC, and then fire it at people in the room... actually I've no idea what they fire... pin pong balls or somethign like that I guess

high end speciality foods that she's not allergic to (like the vegan pesto I managed to find for a pasta-loving vegan friend of mine a year or two ago...) that she might never have heard of?

No, she is allergic to most everything. Honest. I wouldn't dream of buying anything she could swallow, or even apply to her skin. Thanks for the thought. She can't eat dairy, wheat, maize, eggs, fish, shellfish, gluten, yeast, lecithin, additives, and so many more things the list is longer than the list of things she can. She can eat most vegetables, as long as she cooks them herself. And soya milk as long as it has no of the above ingredients. So, no prepared foods basically.
Thanks for thinking about it though.
