Too much nutmeg and it can make you shake, or keep you awake at night! Nutmeg is fabulous in mashed potatoes, with a generous dollop of rich cream. You need lots to taste it, but my husband added so much once we had the shakes afterwards. Nutmeg mash goes well with british bangers and onion gravy.
btw has this thread turned into a foodie paradise? Come to think of it, half the threads on hootoo at the moment seem to contain some food reference.

“the brits among us will now the tv series with the 'two fat ladies' who drove around on their motorbike and side car cooking for a broad variety of people” [Pierce]
Let’s also mention that the people they met encountered a variety of broad people.

Become an African-American woman, and you'll actually be considered thin. That demographic has an 80% obesity rate. Just don't ask how...

Your best bet is to disguise yourself. That way, no surgery will be needed. But I suspect that you are not dangerously heavy, Pierce. Over the years, the insurance companies' own statistics have shown that moderately overweight men have had the longest lifespans. Heck, even obesity doesn't shorten your life very much until you're in pretty extreme territory. There was a study that compared heart attack survival rates for obese men and normal-weight men. The obese men's mortality rate was only half that of the normal-weight men.
Fat is a natural product. There is nothing synthetic about it, except in the case of people who eat a lot of foods with trans fats in them. Transfats accumulate in your butt, and can be a risk factor for breast cancer, which is not a big killer if you are a man. So, maybe becoming an African-American woman is a bad idea after all....

Who will pay for the operation, Pierce? The same one who will pay for antidepressants for the blue moon.
