Ah okay, now i know who you are talking about. Yes, definately a lunatic.
As for the cricket, it is only a matter of time before you beat us. You need to pick people that are prepared to have a go every time not just when things are going well, and stick with them for a while. Also a new physio might help, look at all the long term 'injuries' you had and compare it with Steve Waugh getting 150 on one leg...

I've heard several debates as to why the England cricket team performs so poorly and one point recently made was that a few years ago, they used to employ a psychotherapist as the Aussie team do, but for some reason or other, we did away with ours and it was suggested that the post be reinstated.
Also, some of England's regular team members have said that they're unavailable for touring the Southern Hemisphere, so it looks as though there may be the opportunity for some "new blood". Let's hope they manage to put on a better show. That's not to say that John and I didn't enjoy watching the recent test series and it was still very entertaining!
Unfortunately, Channel 4 covered the matches here which meant that every fifteen minutes or so, we had to put up with adverts. To get around this, we listened to the BBC Radio 4 coverage whilst watching Channel 4. Besides, the radio commentary is much more entertaining to listening to!

Channel 7 decided to continue with their normal programs during the first session so we didn't get to see anything until 10:30 pm . We had mainly English commentators, Gower, Botham but i did like David Lloyd. Most amusing

Gwennie Posted Aug 29, 2001
John's not too keen on Botham as a commentator because he appears to lack the ability to speak cogently. Henry Blowfeld does a wonderful commentary, which is so eloquent and has us in stitches.
Did you see a member of the public disguise himself as one of the England team and walked on at the same time as one our players was coming on and managed to confuse everyone before "owning up" to his cunning deception. Apparently this same chap has got himself on to a Manchester United team photograph by doing a similar thing and it almost beats the occasional streaker!

I saw it in the papers etc the next day. I'm just wondering if he went out to bat whether anyone would have been able to tell the difference...
Hey Linus
Gwennie Posted Aug 30, 2001
LOL! Yes, they probably would have noticed the difference once the chap started scoring runs!
Ah! 'Tis a wicked thing to say, so it is!

Deb and Rebecca have both got chicken pox atm
Hey Linus
Gwennie Posted Sep 4, 2001
Oooh! Itchy!
I'm sorry to hear that Linus. Give them a hug from me...I take it that you're immune?
After Chris had chicken pox, it left a nasty little scar under one of his eyes that spoils his good looks slightly.

Rebecca was fine. Deb was the one that was suffering. However she is getting better now. Rebecca has a few spots on her face but they don't seem to be scaring thankfully.
Yes i had them as a kid, so no problems there

Poor Debs! Childhood illness are always worse when they strike an adult, aren't they?
Did you have take time off work to look after Debs & Rebecca?
I also had chicken pox as a child but in my mid 20's went down with shingles one Christmas Eve, which really knocked me for six (and prevented my joining in with the usual "festivities"). I was signed off work for three months!
It was as a result of being so ill that I swore to myself I'd never be that ill again and so added weight training and running to the Yoga that I was already practicing. Since then, I've been ill with sports-related injuries instead!
On a lighter note, (this should make you chuckle) BBC Radio 4's "Today Programme" yesterday covered a story from Australia relating to a young man of S.African/Welsh extraction who had a Welsh sporran that he'd bought to wear at his imminent wedding confiscated by Australian Customs and put into quarantine because of possible Foot & Mouth contamination. It turns out that he will be able to have said sporran, after it has been irradiated. The radio presenter then asked the chap whether he might be concerned about wearing an irradiated sporran so close to his "wedding tackle" on his wedding day...Apparently, said chap wasn't too concerned!

Hey Linus
Gwennie Posted Sep 7, 2001
Aww! Missing out on free beer must have broken your heart!
I'm sure that Deb's appreciated your sacrifice though and will repay you in kind!

She is back at work today and will probably have a relapse through stressing about work, study and anything else she can think of...
Hey Linus
Gwennie Posted Sep 10, 2001
LOL! That sounds like a girl after my own heart! Stress is my middle name...Please wish Debs good luck from me.
When she gets home, make Deb sit down, hand her a nice and and give her a foot massage!

Well at your age, you should be (and know better than to argue with your elders and betters)!
If you're not careful, I'll send you to Dark Mistresses' Prison for a bout of punishment...
