Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Mar 6, 2002
[Link] Hey, nobody's unBEATable! I mean, everyone is capable of getting flogged!
[Squall and Roll] ..... [edge away from Link's seat]
Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Mar 6, 2002
*Lylax heads to a small bush next to a cliff. He moves the bush aside to reveal a 'Lost Wood' style opening...
Just so you know, this is a distant part of the Lost Woods (If you think that can't happen, explain how you can find, within scant meters of one another, gateways to Kokiri Forest, Death Mountain and Zora's River...) but does not directly connect to the Kokiri Forest... It's probably miles of maze-like wood...
[Lylax] If you're coming, stay close, and don't stray...

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Mar 7, 2002
[Link] [as Lylax] And if you DO stray, don't come running back if you get turned into a Stalchild!

*Lylax moves ahead, listening to the dorrways in each area before passing through. The sound of laughter echoes behind the warband. This isn't happy laughter. It is a cold, evil laughter. A laughter awaiting the moment you make a mistake, then it will strike.*
[Lylax] Let's see... That ways the Spring Fields... That I don't know... Ah! Here we go!
*Steps through a portal and onto crisp, white snow...*

[Roll] Okay, now I'm confused.
[Squall] What IS this place, Neverland??
Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Mar 7, 2002
*The Winter Fields stretch out in all directions fro mthe portal. It is always winter here, though the temperature is far too high for snow...*
[Lylax] We don't normally let people in here. Those that do come in don't come out... You're with me, so you'll be fine. The man lying in the snow outside the bar is Sarque. pronounced Sarkow He's a friend of mine, but is always in a bad mood. Zemlar's probably kicked him out the bar again... I'd best hand over the amulet...

[Link] Well, "barring" accidents, this should go fine.
[Squall] [as Baughb the Elf] Our only hope is to run in there, order drinks, and flirt with the barmaids!

Damn... Nothing else can happen 'til Lizzy or Obliv turn up...
Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Mar 11, 2002
[Roll] So in other words, it's a really amazingly together place.

Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Mar 11, 2002
[Lylax] I'm sorry to say that they're is little reward for the recovery of the Amulet... but I've been asked to give you these...
*Hands a small bag containing Emeralds, Opals, Garnets and Diamonds to Lizzy. Hands another to Wraith*
That should cover your expenses. Thanks for your help.

[Lylax](Has now left for all intents and purposes) If it was so bad, why did you bother to sit through it?
Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Mar 11, 2002
[Squall] We're being forced to watch this.
[Link] Roll and I didn't have anything to do.
[Roll] And Squall's just here until Dylan comes up with an idea for why he's here.
Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Mar 12, 2002
[Lylax] Ah... That makes no sense whatsoever! Especially from someone with GFs and a Gunblade!
Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Mar 12, 2002
Yeah... maybe Lylax can go on a Death Quest sometime...
Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted Mar 12, 2002
Yeah, Slayers (they're usually Dwarfs, but sometimes Humans and rarely Elves) go on Death Quests to find death at the hands of an honourable foe. They usually start against something small, like a Troll or Ogre, and move onto Giants, Daemons and Dragons. Lylax has been on three Death Quests so far, and he's killed Orcs, Skaven, Beastmen, Undead, Trolls, Ogres, Griffons and a Dragon. Dying is something Lylax never got the hang of...
