Quest of Valnar's Tomb
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Apr 9, 2002
Because he's too funny! Besides that, I don't want to give anything away. This may or may not mean anything.
And as for getting past the floating island, remember: not all walls are invincible. Simply trying to walk through some walls will break them.

You kinda have to levelup beforehand... and you need the Atma Weapon from the Esper Cave thingy whatever
If a ninja becomes invisible, cast spells.
It's a good idea to get level-2 spells from Maduin, Ifrit, Shiva, and Ramuh, as well as some healing spells from Kirin.
Don't bring Celes in your party-of-three, because right before you meet Kefka and the Emperor, Shadow will leave, and during the scene, Celes will join if you don't have her. (Otherwise, you're stuck with a party of three afterwards.)
Stock up on curative items. You'll need 'em.
Casting "Fire" on someone who's been Frozen unfreezes them. If you've got your hands on some Fire Shields or Fire Armor, equip people with those so that casting Fire on them heals 'em.
That's all I can think of for now ...

I've battered all of that stuff now... Kefka's madder than I thought!
My main problem is that dragon in Mount Zozo... I know he's not vital but... I just really, /really/ want to kill it!

I did... I've killed it, and the one in the mining town (the snowy one with the Esper), and I'm after the one in the Opera House. I just need to learn 'Float'.

The "mining town" is Narshe. And, uh, I've forgotten which Esper teaches "Float." [runs away]

Hey! Relax YK! I've got the Esper (and Alexander... THWAKADOOM!) and I'll be ready to rock in no time!

Two questions:
1) Where's Locke?
2) Is Shadow coming back?

1. The Phoenix cave.
2. Depends on if you waited for him on the floating island. If not, no.

I guess you didn't wait for him.
And the Phoenix Cave is north and a bit to the east of Tzen, which is north of Keffie's Tower.

You mean where the Emperor's treasure is?

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Apr 19, 2002
No.
Look, your best bet is to find a map of the World of Ruin somewhere.

I'm sure I'll find it... eventually.
