Brilliant but:
Blindly Entertaining Lies In Exegetic Faith.
is the first line of a seriously deep poem. Can I write it on the other thread?

Always
Zipping
Dangerously
Along
(not really an acrostic poem either but it had a rhythm to it, so i decided to post it)

here's a try for an original
MEMORIES
Moments of the Past,
Eclipsed in the mind
Melting, swelting through the great confine,
On oblique paths in a bind,
Radiated through the mind,
Irksome at the wrong moments,
Enlightening at others,
Salvation of the Mind.
I hope it makes sense.
It did to me, when I was writing it.

Autumn
After summers' seasons' gone
Until winter takes a grip
There comes a time of colour.
Underneath the trees there lies
Mulch from autumns past, on top of that
New leaf-fall lies, a treasure trove of nature's gold.

BELIEF
Blindly Entertaining Lies In Exegetic Faith,
Everything accepted like a transcendental wraith,
Loathing everybody in a xenophobic spell,
If you are not all with us – we’ll bomb you all to hell,
Everybody wanting more of which there is just less,
For the mighty god of mammon, is the one who will us bless.

FEATURE
Faces eventually give us away,
Especially when we don’t want them to,
Although we try and keep control,
They have a habit of telling the truth.
Under the eye of the skilled interrogator,
Regardless of how we try to control them,
Eyes, nose and mouth, tell them when we are lying.

Senses drifting dreamily along,
Easing my cares with soft inward song.
Resting in peace, peaceful at heart,
Enjoying the moment with such simple art that
Nothing can ruffle this happy repose.
In placid procession the daydreams pass through
The warmth of my love, that of course, goes to
You.

MUSCLE
Most athletes, in seeking to gain a small edge,
Use fair means or foul, or so some would allege,
Sport is now ‘money’, not fair competition,
Cheating’s the norm, forget the contrition,
Let them take steroids, there’s really no shame,
Evading the tests is the name of the game.
(The 'word' in the Telegram Game thread, an acrostic poem of which is generally published in 'The Post')
I agree - the last kankalew's 'Serenity' is lovely

Movers and shakers adore
Old and young all clamber for more
Nobody, I gather
Existing would rather
Yield wealth for the chance to be poor

Nice one YB.
And now for something completely different!
Happy, hearty,
'Ave us a party
Plenty of
Pulchritude,
Young, old or maybe nude
Naughty or nice,
Each one will add spice
With their charms and their vibrance.
Yin and Yang in a zen dance
Everyone whirling happily
And toes tripping tappily.
Really, it looks like a Happy New Year!

Thanks
The cost is nothing, or so I've been told,
How ungracious you are to make so bold,
A small pleasantry costs you nothing at all,
Now be thankful or stand with your face to the wall.
Knowing this I went out to the world with a smile,
Everything would be fine – 'til I realised the guile.

Easter
Estimating the date’s enough to fool a wily fox,
A full-moon following a spring Eqinox,
Sunday next, whenever it comes,
Then Easter – two days after the hot-cross buns,
Eggs, cards and bunnies anre what it’s about,
Somehow the religion has just got left out.

I am going mad - that's not even an acrostic

EASTER
Everlasting happiness and love and true elation
Are promised to all those who dare believe
Surprised when after death they do not wake up
Those fools would, were they not dead, weep and grieve
Erase those first four lines and then forget
Really, I did not mean to make you fools upset
Sort of fits the mood of this holiday, does it not?

Aries
Arise Sir Ramsey Twaddlethrop,
Regard the status you’ve just got,
Incumbent it is now on you,
Examples to set - and please eschew,
Some things you used to like to do.

What's happened to this thread?
Doctor
Doctors have to practise, all the day and every night,
Occasionally I wonder if they ever get it right.
Could they all be scared that if they make a big mistake
They’ll have to give up practising and learn to undertake.
Oh patients, please be patient while he practises his skills,
Remember, once he’s got it right, he might just cure your ills.
