Well you did a great job Annie, you can't include everything on it in one go. If I find those articles about the moves I will let you know, I can go into more detail on a convo attached to the article.
You know you always do a great job Annie!

Thanks Kaz, I do try!
If I can word it properly, would you like to be relisted as contributor? Or is it that you don't want edited status, (I've read your PS) anyway if you want to be added back on, just let me know.
I'll see if I can find that lego comment for Tit and put it back, it wasn't the wackiest researcher comment, and I could just leave one..
The site is still very slow...just about every page I load says "sorry the site just got really busy" so I don't know if I should attempt any updating if I'm only going to lose it...

I still think you should mention that Stonehenge was partially rebuilt early last century. The best source of info on this would be English Heritage.

Traveller in Time fitting stones
"You do not have to 'put it back' as well as give any notion of the construction they used.
I prefer to call it a 'LEGO' system by lack of better wording. Anyone who has seen the stones will understand I mean the interconnection of the stones. "

Annie, apologies for not getting back to you yet with an upgrade for the "Made of " section... work has been nuts!
I can try and do it at the weekend if that's not too late for you?

'The alignment of the stones today is different to the alignment shown in Constables picture'.
I was wond'ring whether it was possible that the alignment shown in Constable's painting might be due to artistic licence, rather than the stones having actually been moved?

That has been talked about a lot, but generally he was thought to paint what he saw, not what he wanted to see.

I'm not responding to anyone's posts, this is just a list of what I have to do, for my own reference. I will be working on it bit by bit and will announce when I'm finished.
<>
<>
Change: to say that as the alignment is not ancient (due to recent movings and setting in concrete),
<> - find LEGO quote and re-add.
<>
After the header
>The Three Phases of Stonehenge
The sentences go a little bare, Just keep in mind 'what did they do in this phase', try to leave out things that mask the activities of early periods.
Keep the time in the sentences right
>Current dating methods
is under the header 3100 BC
<>
<>
<>
<<'Plus according to a couple of sites, there are stones of more than one origin used in Stonehenge'
Yes, it appears that some are (spotted) dolerite and others are rhyolite - both found on Carn Menyn>>
<> (I haven't a clue where to put that)
<>
<>
<> Yes, please, Rockhound.
<>
Suggestions for improvement please.

This is so much easier to read! Well done.
Only a couple of style points -
"Check opening times here." This should be rephrased to 'check opening times at the official site' (or whatever). This is for the mobile platform, but in general it's better web practise to name links, not just call them 'here'.
The same goes for the reviews, you need to put the name of the site in. Although personally I wouldn't have linked to that site. It opened a popup despite my pop up killer, and tried to spam me with cookies. Up to you though!
You don't need tags round your list at the bottom, or the full stops as they aren't sentances.
This is really good now.

You said above that you didn’t know where to put the bit about ‘greased rails made from planks’. It goes somewhere here:
'The transportation feat was human then,...'
(Reminds me that I promised to look out my video on this to give you some kind of reference)
In your Entry you say this:
‘but of greater interest still is how the Beaker People came to know that the stones were there in West Wales’.
I think here you should take cognizance of what I say in my Pembrokesiure Entry about Carn Menyn being sited close to an ancient trackway, ‘trading road’ (The Golden Road) which links Ireland to Wessex.
In your Entry you talk about the Altar Stone as being merely a fallen portal stone. However, I read yesterday, following a link that somebody gave me for my Pembrokeshire Entry, that the Altar stone is made of a different type of stone (also found on Carn Menyn), so I have written:
‘Indeed, the bluestones used in the construction of the inner horseshoe at Stonehenge are known to have come from the Preseli Mountains in the north of the county, as also does the Stonehenge Altar Stone, which is of green micaceous sandstone’.
Wonder if all the portals are of this sandstone, or whether the Altar Stone is unique

"(an incoming phonecall/text message would disturb the atmosphere"
Is "phonecall" one word? Isn't it "phone call?"

Oops I was assuming that the Altar Stone' and 'Slaughter Stone' are one and the same, but they aren't. Ignore that point.

Under 'How Did They Build SH', I think you should point out thatthe techniques used built on skills acquired by the builders of West Kennet Long-Barrow (3200BC), which would also have required the deployment of large bodies of strictly-controlled labour. This will give you an opportunity to link to A1150381 (Avebury, West-Kennet LB etc).

'Since 2006 is already here, it may be possible to have 2006 rates'.
This sort of data is ephemeral Best to refer/link to the SH website , so up-to-date figures are always available.

I think you need to simplify vastly the section 'What is SH Made From' as, at present, it is only intelligible to a trained geologist.
Key: Complain about this post
