Christmas: are we being desenstised?
JAR (happy to be back, but where's Ping?) Posted Nov 9, 2000
It's the principles that our (somewhat dysfunctional) society is based upon, is it not? Money? Yup, annoying as the , but at the same time the lifestyle some of us (not I) would die defending. Strange, no?

Yes it is. Yes it is. But I don't want it to be that way...... (yeah, I know that is a very childish way of putting it, but it's true.)
It makes me feel that all the work I ever did for Amnesty International, for OD, for environment this and that..... it's all a waste of time and resources anyway. If it's anything I hate, it's that feeling of helplessness.. and of some absurd reason, christmas is just strengtening that....

I visit that page every day... though when you look at the elections in USA, I have my doubts about a better world coming soon... (maybe it will come, but I don't think it will happen just yet.)
As among all the other things I am into, I am strictly against death penalty. I just don't find it right at all..

They (in this case "they" are the elders to whom we listen with great awe and respect) say it's bound to get worse before it gets better, so I guess we'll just have to hang in there, and hope we'll be alive when the better part comes around.
Oh yeah, and maybe even try to work for the better part to come around quick.
If only we could agree on what the better part is...
