Why does ABBA's song "Dancing Queen" keep going through my mind?

The Queen, like Red Rum or Shergar, is the product of a planned, artificial breeding programme which goes back centuries. Just as racehorses have faster leg muscles than Shetland ponies, obviously the Queen of England has been bred for a tougher, more sinewy neck to support a crown.

It looks pretty scary. It makes me wonder whether when politicians get into government (i.e. power) some (many?) act like bulls in a china shop ... they have five years in which to feather their nest, give favours to their funders and mates, try to restructure the system quickly so that it favours them in future. They only have five years so they have to act fast.

I'm no monarchist, but may I respectfully point out that she's the queen of the United ing Kingdom and not just England? The clue is in the name UNITED KINGDOM. England isn't the only country on this island you know

Oh of course she's the Queen of England. And of Scotland. And of Wales. It's an utter denial of reality to say she isn't!

Is it one of her official titles? I understand that it's not. And frankly, I care not a jot about whether I'm calling her by a descriptive title, or an official one she got because her father popped his clogs.
