Who Dunnit?
paulh, vaccinated against the Omigod Variant Posted Oct 26, 2012
8 p.m. London time is 3 p.m. Boston time. At 3, I'll be at my brother's house at a family gathering. Then I'll be on the road for more than two hours. There is no way I can be online before 6 or 7, which would be 11 or 12 London time.
There's also the chance that England will put its clocks back on Sunday, but the U.S. won't.
Anyway, solving one murder mystery [the one at my library on Saturday] is enough for one weekend, surely.]

Looking forward to this. Should be able to get online, assuming my Internet connection doesn't mess up again.

Yes, clocks will be set back in the UK, but not yet in the US and Canada. Therefore, the time difference will be one hour less than usual this weekend.
We switch back to standard time on November 3*.
* Disclaimer: some states do not observe daylight savings time.

The thousand miles an hour part is easy, its just everyone mucking with the numbers.

The first room has been created, the Viewing Gallery: A87775294
A place where prospective Poirots, and mayhap Ms Marples can argue motives while throwing peanuts!

So do we have to subscribe to all these individual a-pages as they come along? I had hoped I would be fed all the conversations by befriending Mr Body......
Who Dunnit?
Pastey Posted Oct 28, 2012
You don't have to subscribe to them no
There will be one page/room where creating threads and chatting is allowed, welcome, and indeed encouraged, and that's the Viewing Gallery.
The other "rooms" will all be linked together, a bit like an old text based computer game, so you'll be able to virtually wander around the house. Each of these rooms will have a single conversation thread for the characters to act out their roles in, and we ask that during the game only these threads are created, and only the characters use them. This will help keep it nice and clear as to who's who, and what's going on.
The event will be guided, pretty much like a real life dinner party, so most of the action as it were will be happening in obvious places.
We'll be getting the rooms up soon, starting with the grounds so that you'll be able to have a bit of a wander around and get used to how it's set up

As for the clocks, it's now 9:00 AM in the UK, GMT. The "Guests" have been invited to arrive at 8 PM, 11 hours from now.

I'm guessing this might get moderated anyway, but I can't resist it...
GMT? Isn't that the same thing as BST?

Not quite, EB. Greenwich Mean Time is (was) the time line, on which all time zones were based. British Summer Time was introduced as 'daylight saver'
GMT later became UST, Universal Standard Time.

So, did you work out Who Dunnit?
Have you gone through the clues and figured it out, or just made a total stab in the dark?
Either way, could you email your thoughts to [email protected] by Friday so we can write them into our article in this weekends Post
We'd also appreciate all your thoughts on the event itself, did you like it? Or not? What did / didn't you enjoy? That sort of thing
