I'm a little confused ITIWBS. Are you saying you don't like Kilroy?
By the way, this isn't the thread for it so I'm going to go put it in Useless Facts next, but just in case anybody's interested, I can tell you that Kilroy has also been to the WWII memorial in Washington, D.C.
X was here.

Hmm.. yes it did seem slightly off topic didn't it.
But there was picture of a big gun - and we all like guns, right.
And everybody loves 'army stories' and Catch-22 references.

Soap on a rope must be good, because it rhymes. It was certainly better than that other favourite, a pope on a rope.

Generally I agree about Gangsta Rap, but there is one exception.

http://www.h2g2.com/user/U2108488/conversation/view/F2606954/T8293518/page/1 See post 15. Meanwhile, if I ever see an 'authentic' "Kilroy Was Here" again, I'm going to collect it. Transfer it to canvas. In the vein of 'soap on a rope' (I think the idea was that if you put the loop on the rope around your wrist while showering, if it slipped from your hand, you'd have a safety line on it to keep it from sliding around on the floor of the shower creating a slipping hazard.), something more recent, chipper/shredder mulch added to 'organic' soaps by way of an abrasive. Honest pumice as in "lava" soap is really better.

Drat.
They still haven't licked the internal link bug.
The original post may still come up in Brunel.
At any rate, if I ever find an 'authentic' "Kilroy Was Here" again, I'm going to collect it, transfer it to canvas.
In the 'soap on a rope' vein (I think the idea was that if you put your wrist through the loop on the rope and the soap slips from your hand, you'll have a safety line on it to prevent it from becoming a slipping hazard on the floor of the shower.), something more recent, adding chipper/shredder mulch to 'organic' soaps as an abrasive.
Powdered pumice as in "Lava" soap is really better.

Steel wool makes the best exfoliant.
Try to find the plain kind; the SOS brand
has a sharp soap content that smells a bit
too industrial for most social situations.

making pots is a good exfoliant for hands,
find just the right clay and your fingerprints tend to go a bit though

ITIWBS Posted May 26, 2012
By golly, you're right about that.
In the absence of soap, use clay.

Wire wool is great for getting dead skin off feet... or anywhere else really... makes a half-decent face scrub just using a brillo pad feel the shine...

I have to agree with that one.
I miss the 'movies till dawn' late night matinees of the 60s and 70s.
These days, its 'tabloids till dawn'.

Lotus notes.
This is the second company I've worked for that uses them. WTF. Most days (it varies) and in many situations, it's not even compatible with the rest of the programs we are given. So I have to COPYTYPE stuff from one program into the other - I can't cut and paste. Well, it's either that or re-boot (for the umpteenth time) to see if I don't chance upon another server or different combination of connections. What's most inexplicable is that it sometimes changes into this mode about 3 pm even if I haven't changed servers or re-booted in the meantime.
