Gripes, unless you know for certain that it's from a source you're signed up with stay the hell away from that STOP text. The only thing that will do for a scammer is let them know it's a live number.

I am getting very few calls and messages now.
I took the 'respond and take up masses of their time' tactic.
I've had offers for PPI and for accident claims. I've had irate callers hang up on me.
Keep calm and carry on....
